This. Here we all are crossing our fingers and bracing for the worst for the release of ONE SONG, while the Stones are a day away from doing new music the right way.

I’m legitimately impressed they’ve kept this from leaking up until now. Less than 2 weeks now…

I can’t believe I’m two weeks away from holding a physical copy of The General. Sure GNR is being crazy weird about releasing it digitally but that in of itself is just so cool.

Who knows? I’m just glad they’re finally putting out a single that hasn’t already been circulating among the fanbase for however many years. 

They began recording on these tracks back in April of 2019, so it’s reasonable to think they were considering releasing Hard Skool in late 2019 when we know they first soundchecked it.

These songs have pulled up GNR on and off for over a year now and it’s literally never meant a song was actually coming. 

Please GNR/ @Fernando / whoever…don’t fumble the release of this track. We’ve been waiting way too long…

I mean, it looks like, certainly at this point, if it’s *not* this week with Power Trip on Friday I guess there really might be something to that God-awful vinyl only rumor, however unfortunate. Gotta be, right?

I can’t believe a chunk of people really think an album is looming for November. I mean of course it would be great, however unlikely, but you’d really think more of us would be dubious after all we’ve been through on the new music front.

I really do believe The General will be the last “new” track we hear for some time. Of course I’d love to be wrong and be shocked by a covert album in November but I really don’t see it. 
 

Consider that 2024 is the year Slash will focus on his solo album and touring with the Conspirators. Why drop a full LP and then not tour it? Then again, ya know, Guns N’ Roses. 😆

2010 he had such venom and a drive. Like he was trying to prove himself. Whatever changed between 2010 and 11 obviously effected him and killed nu guns, the remaining few years in hindsight were just visiting each country around the world one last time. 

This, totally. I’ll never forget the universal disappointment around here after the 2011 Rio show. I remember thinking it was a no-brainer that it would kick off the CD2 era, and obviously it was not that. I’d still see them a couple more times, but the vibe had gone down the tubes for sure. That was when Ron got real volatile with the fans too, and it just seemed like everyone involved was miserable for the next couple of years.

It is still odd they are holding off on additional physical releases for the Perhaps and The General outside of vinyl… something is a brewing. 

Maybe, but I don’t think this (likely wording error) is an indication that a covert LP titled “Perhaps” is coming.

…Though I do think the Perhaps single art would make a great album cover too. 

Yeah, clearly the marketing wizard that put the ad together didn’t do their homework very well. 

I will say that’s a very odd time to start heavily promoting a 6 week old single, but then again, GNR.
