Rammstein is done without their vocalist. Definitely not the same situation. Marilyn Manson fired Twiggy... that must have hurt as well, but he did it anyway.

    Fernando is nobody in comparison.

It's not Axl, Duff or Slash we're talking about.

    He's gone.

But what if Axls sense of loyalty kicks in, as he obviously views him as close family.

If this comes down too, Axl either fire him or Slash and Duff leave…the ride is over, everyone. And what a sad, unsatisfying ending everyone would get after spending all these years following and supporting. And with the reunion and Axl/DC, he’d finally created a happy ending for himself. If he doesn’t act appropriately here, that’s all gonna be stained. I’m not sure some of us here understand how f’d this is, and how much of the band’s future it puts into jeopardy.

On the one hand, yes, that's what I am fearing as well, on the other hand, like I said before, German band Rammstein faced equally heavy, if not even heavier allegations and they keep on touring and functioning as a band as if all this never happened.

I fear we all get dissapointed when we believe it will be a traditional blues record. Especially based on the first confirmed guest vocalist.

I still hope it will be somewhat Snakepit like. Blues oriented hard rock. I think the more bluesier, the more excited I will be.

Give me a quick reminder, who was the first confirmed guest vocalist?

Side Note - Ive been on these forums since probably 2002/2003 maybe earlier?  Every era of Axl, in the moment other than maybe Axl/DC, people on here say how Axl isn't as good as (insert era here) and he doesn't look as good as (insert era here).  When he had the braids, people generally disliked it, and in 2006 people generally disliked his voice very much other than a few songs at Rock Am Ring 2006 which people said was a glimpse of old Axl.  Its just funny to see in 2012, and 2016, and 2023 how people wish they had 2006 Axl, when at the time, no one wanted 2006 Axl.   In 2016/2017 when he was growing his hair or wearing too many hats, people wanted him back in braids cause "he looked badass in braids".  At the time, people HATED that look and would say he looked like Predator, its fake hair, its yarn, its extensions.

True. It's kinda funny to see.

Same with how guys like Robin and Bucket were hated and laughed about back then.

I Hope the forum Will not go quiet too.. :)

We'll for sure have on going debates when Atlas will be released (certainly not this November), when The General and Monsters vocals were recorded, when the next album will be released, discuss the guest spot on Michael Schenkers album, and go into full mayhem again as soon as more pictures of Axl and Slash in a studio setting will come out.

Plus we'll have the usual Richard and Slash comments regarding seriously looking into how to release music these days and of course priming the pumps or whatever that was before that.

I don't know what the future may hold, but I do want to give Glastonbury a mention. I tuned in fearing the worst, but instead got probably the most enjoyable night of the reunion.

After years of Axl kinda hiding behind the hats and the glasses (2010-2014), and appearing on autopilot from 2017/8 onwards it was amazing to see him so full of energy again. There he was, my childhood hero had returned. Out front, running about, giving his absolute all. I don't know what changed but on this tour Axl seemed to get his mojo back. That fire in his eyes that had been missing for years was back.

This can not be stressed enough, you're absolutely right.

  7. Some cool releases would be nice, a live release of some form (vinyl / BluRay for example), maybe a new covers album if the muse doesn't arrive, best case would be of course new album or a compilation of the new songs, but I wouldn't count on that, haha.

Touring mode seems off for 2024, I could live with that, get some rest guys (and tour your solo efforts, meaning Duff and Slash, Axl could finish up is biography, one can dream, right?).

Another interview. Duff says he may tour his album in spring and meanwhile he will probably release more material. He implies that the extension of the GN'R tour kind of messed up the release of Lighthouse:

Awesome, can't wait for the tour. Slash is hitting my hometown on his tour, so hopefully Duff will take notes on this.

I hope they don't try to cram both songs onto one side of a 7" record... hopefully now that it's leaked, we'll get Monsters and another song by the end of the year.

But the Perhaps single should've just been a 12" 45 all along. Overcharge me $35-40 and take my fucking money. Perhaps, Wichita (live or studio, doesn't matter) or a Duff song on side G, and these two songs on side R. Throw Atlas in there if they're feeling really generous.

It's crazy that Axl sat on Monsters, an actual 'big gun', for 20 years... imagine hearing it live in 2006 or 2010. Even though the lyrics are fucked up, I smile every time I hear it, especially the 2nd half. It's so fucking good.

    Fuck yes.
