I know, and its so true. I just read what you were saying in the "rock make a commercial comeback" thread and its all so true. I think you were the one saying "at some point doesn't Mick think he has enough money?!" I've said so many times people like McCartney, the Stones, Neil Young all charge $200-$400 for their concerts when they could charge $25 and still be absolutely FINE. I know why they don't, but at this point you'd think they have enough money to charge low.
I'm not expecting Guns to be this band of brothers anymore. They are all adults and money is money. I know thats a reality. What throws me is who's involved. Axl and Slash. Axl could have done this whenever and turned down money, and probably more success, than if he had done it years ago. Clearly now is different, we don't know why. Yes, Slash likes money, but he seemed to have integrity. He seemed to always say he'd do Guns again if it was done right. Hell, the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame was perfect because they did it respectfully with Sorum, Adler, and Gilby. But I get that Slash has also played the Super Bowl, whored himself out to many things, and Axl has always had a lavish lifestyle and changes opinions like the wind.
What gets me is Duff. Duff seems like SUCH a down to earth guy. He's friends with everyone, he really DOESN'T sell himself out, and he lives a more than comfortable lifestyle. It shocks me Axl and Slash would do Guns without Izzy, but it TRULY throws me Duff would. Cause Duff doesn't seem like a guy that needs the money. I'm sure its amazing, but he DOES seem like the guy that would throw it all away cause its not being done right. We obviously don't know what's going on behind the scenes, but it really confuses me that he'd go along with it, without really fighting for Izzy, in the wake of Izzy seeming to say he wasn't even asked. Slash and Axl have business minds, there's no doubt about it. Duff really seemed different.
I believe most of these acts like the Stones & McCartney probably do it for the money, but they would be crazy to sell them for less as the demand would be way too high and it actually allows the die hard fans the chance to buy the tickets as you are not going to pay over $200 if you only like a handful of songs.
Duff is a very odd thing, as you'd think he would get in touch with Izzy but again we actually no idea what is going on behind the scenes. No offence to Duff but to the casual fan, its Axl and Slash who are the biggest draws for these reunions, I love loaded but those two were like the last Mick and Keith type in a band. Also Duff is an accountant so i'd say he would have a business mind but I doubt he would get the same opportunities as Slash got over the years like Super Bowl, Guitar Hero Cartoons etc as you just see the top hat Curly hair and you think Slash, Guns N' Roses (Which could be a reason he always kept the hat)
Slash is going through a divorce which i think played a part, but i don't think its only down to the money as my Theory is its somehow down to him being back with Meegan which i think i read slash cheated on back in the day so if she can forgive him maybe Axl thought that he has actually changed... I could and probably be 100% wrong but its an theory.

I thought Axl wore Christian Benner ... Jeez can't believe i know that or care haha.
Maybe they just have special leather jackets for the reunion but who knows...

Used my wife's old US cell phone number but any valid US number should work. Try googling the nearest McDonalds and use that number if you can.
Cool thanks! I finally got one as I decided to just use the phone number of the hotel I'm staying at in Vegas. Going to the 1 showing on Saturday.

I got two tickets too. I'm taking a suit with me anyway so the dress code won't be an issue.
Some reason the my phone number doesn't work and it asks for the state, how did you get a ticket?

Mick and Keith tour together and they are not best buddies, but they know that both need each other. Keith didn't like that Mick took a knighthood but the amount they can make together, they wont be stopping until one of them is dead.
Axl has hardly done any interviews and probably would only do it if he had to but cause the gigs have sold out, he is probably on the treadmill getting into the best shape possible. The amount of question that be asked if Slash and Duff did the press without Axl, so probably best to keep it quiet until they know exactly what the plan is for the year. Also I am no fan of press conferences, and I love the Crue but they have to get interest to sell tickets as how many times has that band split up now.
We will find out on the 8th if they have with the interaction between the two while performing and how Axl introduces the half man, the half beast

I've seen it twice. It's good, but not as good as everyone says it is. It's worth your time and you can usually get tickets for just under $100 through the Tix4Tonight places on the strip.
Ah nice, think i will give that a go as saw Penn & Teller last September but they are off that weekend. I kinda want to see a show and the hoover dam while in Vegas.

I think it would be fun to spend a little time downtown. There's a bunch of cool stuff near where the beer fest is being held. The oldest licenced bar in Vegas is just across the street for one.
Check out:

The strip's awesome and all but it's nice to take a break once in a while.
Yeah i am staying in downtown, my mate said it was awful but he went years ago and what i'v read its getting exciting again due to all the hipsters moving in.
Saw the beer festival thing on but i actually hate American beer, no offence to anyone but everywhere i went was a pale ale.
I only found out that the vegas strip is in actually Paradise ....

Has anyone seen The Beatles Cirque du Solei at the MGM, thinking on going to it before the gathering as i want to see a show. Anyone know the best places to buy tickets? hopefully discount prices.
I don't know line app but do have Whatsapp

He is going to be asked about Guns N' Roses/ Axl for a while i think as fans want to know more about what went down with Gnr than Sixx:A.M. Folk will probably want to talk more about Motley Crue than Nikki than this band.
I liked the 1st record and the singer is good , but not for a rock band, nothing special as you could hear the record on radio and have no idea who the band is as they sound like most things on radio.

if true and it like the VR feature Axl Rose Mix, then i would be absolutely chuffed.

You guys that love Izzy's material over the hits are desperate to keep GNR a garage band haha
now back to social media...is GNR the worst band of all time to follow on social media, or simply the most unpredictable train wreck you've ever witnessed?
I don't think they are the worse, I actually like how the handle social media as it keeps the mystic but it really depends what you want from who you follow as i find it annoying when someone put everything up.

made in stoke was released just 4 years after the slash bio was published. enough time for axl to read the book (which i'm sure he has done) and see slash's side of things.
the slash bio was a great opportunity for axl to read slash's version of the facts, without having to even face slash. curiosity must have gotten to him.
could the book have started it all? it's highly likely. theres a lot of explanation and self-relativism in slash's book.
He defo has read it or got someone to read it and write notes on some of the chapters. He mentions the book below in the clip but who knows if that when it started.

Well, somehow he could sell out 20-25k venues during last two tours, can't remember when GNR sold out such a big arena last time He's perfectly fine, even without gnr.
I love Slash, listen to his last two albums all the time but the last two times that Guns N' Roses came to Europe, they were headlining festivals.
I like Slash with Myles but folk are wanting to See him with Axl and thats the same with Axl, folk want to see him with Slash.
Axl and Slash are the main two for the casual fans as has anyone went or met anyone who dressed as Izzy or Steven at Halloween.

That's because there's been absolute silence from anybody involved in the band since early January (except some show announcements but those were few and far between).
I know! I kinda find it a different way in handling the press as they kinda doing it there way but i understand why it annoys folk that nothing is being said. I'm just looking forward for a long weekend in Vegas!

I havn't cared much about SIXX:AM since the 1st album and to be honest bought that due to reading the book. I think the singer is a good singer but to me he isn't anything special for a Rock band, he doesn't stand out as a lead singer. Nikki is always just going have fans wanting Motley Crue and my interest with Ashba has kinda went due to leaving Guns N' Roses

it's kinda amazing that the biggest reunion in a while, the media have nothing and basically guessing and posting very trivial stuff.... but then Blabbermouth does that a lot.

Listening to Nirvana is making me appreciate GN'R more

I'm really only into the Nirvana hits and kinda only listen to greatest hits when in the mood.
To be honest i do not understand the whole worship thing that people have for Kurt, he sounded a bit of a douche ... the whole MTV thing between Axl and Kurt made me come to that conclusion.... and before anyone say anthing...Yes Axl can be an Asshole.
