No one gives a fuck about Motorhead though, that part is true. Lemmy's legacy far and away transcends Motorhead's.

Nonsense. Motörhead  were one of the greatest rock n' roll bands that ever existed. Anyone who knows anything at all gives very much of a fuck about them.

Lemmy's legacy and Motörhead's are one and the same.

Does anybody know what kind of bass Duff is playing? Basically like his signatire model (P/J pickups, P body, J neck) and is says "Duff" on the round part of the headstock, but i cant read the small lettering along the bottom. Thanks for any help. FWIW, its not because I thought it sounded good (mix was awful) I'm just into gear. Thanks again

I was wondering the same thing. Definitely no Fender logo on that thing even thought it looks just like one. It was really nice whatever it was.

Am I the only one who liked the performance? They're not a fucking classically trained orchestra, they're a goddamned rock band. That was sleezey, gritty, raw, and fucking loud. You think Lemmy would have wanted fucking polished? Jesus. That was great, l thought.

There's gritty and raw and then there's unrehearsed and shitty. That was more the latter.

I dont understand why people are continuously saying Adler only played on Appetite/can only play the Appetite parts and not the Illusion parts.  What about Lies and Live like a Suicide.  Also, everyone mentions Civil war.  BUT (although he didnt record the songs on Illusions) he did play on many of the songs (eg Back off Bitch, Live and Let die etc) as they were playing them in their live shows even before Appetite was recorded!  I wonder how many of the songs on Appetite Adler did play on just didnt record!

Also is it just me or does anyone think Adlers Back from the Dead would be a great GNR song with Axl signing it?

No only that but to say only  Appetite as if that album doesn't tower over everything that came after...

If there was ever a band that's defined by one record, it has got to be Guns N' Roses. Those that disagree can look at the setlists.

im laughing at ppl talking about integrity...are yall serious or trolling?

its literally just the instrumental to the song in a commercial

its not like the band got out there and did a dance number for them with clown paint on face...jeez

It's no  really no different than if they did do a dance number. Either way it's using their music to sell chalupas and it's pretty tacky. It may seem old fashioned now but there was a time when bands just didn't do that sort of thing.

  6. If Slash & Duff are smart there's a clause that will prevent Axl from going out under the GnR name without Slash & Duff's involvement, or consent. Kinda like how Ozzy did Tony with Sabbath once they reunited in 97, hence the "Heaven & Hell" thing with Dio in 2007.

Tony owns the name to Sabbath just like Axl with GN'R. How did Ozzy convince Tony to do what you said? Maybe Tony really needed the money from that reunion with Ozzy. Who knows.

Iommi, owner of the Black Sabbath name, decided to call the touring group Heaven & Hell[1] to differentiate the project from the Ozzy Osbourne-led Black Sabbath.[2] The moniker was taken from the first Dio-fronted Black Sabbath album,Heaven and Hell. According to Iommi, the name change was made so that fans at concerts would not expect "to hear “Iron Man” and “War Pigs” and all that... it’s none of the old stuff, it’s none of the Ozzy period. It’s all Dio stuff. So by calling ourselves Heaven and Hell, it’s revisiting that period."[3]

That doesn't answer the question I asked.

Take it up with Tony Iommi. That's his version of what happened.
