The Gaslight Anthem - '59 Sound
-
Prince has been there and done that. 21 nights! B) The O2 is his house
-
I would reccomend everything available!
Magic definetley ranks up there with his best, as does Workin On A Dream. I would stongly reccomend the 1975 Hammersmith Show from London, it really is outstanding, one of the greatest live shows I've ever heard. Worth it for Spirit In The Night and Lost In The Flood alone

Definetley agree on Shoot Me Down. Fucking love that song B)
-
Fucking great news! Thanks for posting sir!

One of the best post since a while.
Axl, just please stop making all negative comments about the old line-up and all positive comment about the ´current line-up´.
Please, just remeber that you became famous WITH those guy´s: if you wouldn´t have been in a band with Slash, Izzy, Duff and Steven, than there wouldn´t have been a GN´R forum and people would have never heard of you (atleast not the way, you are recognized know)
Axl - don't listen to these people.
They complain when you dont speak.
Then they complain when you do speak.
I'd much rather have Axl - or anybody else - speak their MINDS and tell us the truth . . . rather than give PC answers.
Rock and Roll isn't about being PC and kissing people's asses.
Thank God Axl speaks his mind, instead of giving us water downed bullshit answers.
Exactly, so many people have wanted the "truth" for years from Axl's point of view, and now you guys can't face it. Make up your minds.
-
Let's not forget that this is basically an " interview" that Axl could have sold for at least in the 5-digits - yet he chose to give it it us - the fans - for free.
Very classy move.
Exactly, uncencored and unfiltered.

Whether you like it or not, this IS Guns N' Roses, and I couldn't be happier

Wow, the two of you are retarded. Please lock

Read this over and over at school today, if this is the tip of the iceberg, we're in for an interesting 2009 B)
-
How much of a factor was the legal rights to the band name in getting the album out, and promoting tours, etc?
-
How do you feel when you read posts that say "this isn't really Guns N' Roses"? Surely it isn't their place to say?
-
I have owned the "Appetite for Collection" EP Import Box-Set for years now. None of the vinyls have ever been played. The box has some definite shelf wear and i'm missing the blue bandana. But everything else is in great shape.
I'm looking to either sell or trade it. I'm interested in Buckethead stuff, live DVD's of GnR from 2002 on, any signed items, or other rarities.
I also have an old never been used live bootleg 2-LP of GnR from 1988. I'm not sure what show but the cover has Guns n' Roses on the side in red and a big picture of Slash wearing a smiley face shirt with a bullet in it's head. On the back, "My Michelle" is written "My Mitchel" (lol). I'd be willing to part with it as well.
I'll post pictures if anything of interest is offered up
My Mitchel?
That is all...

Got mine ordered, can't fuckin' wait!
-
That's depressing, seeing as Alter Bridge are one of the best bands of the moment.
-
Kerrang
-
Purple Rain B)
-
Using an emulator and a sound capturing device might be the best option
-
Can't wait, released two days before my birthday, around the same time as HTDAAB. This one will hopefully at least be as good as their previous
-
I love Springsteen, but it will take alot to top Prince I think. That half time was unbelievable!
-
I hope he never gets out
-
I freakin' love the A Boy Named Goo album Awesome B)
And likewise, the first song I heard was I'm Awake Now
-
I was really surprised Trent's version is ahead. It's his song, but Cash is SO much more powerful in his version. The emotion he conveys, certainly related to the point he knew that his life was in, comes out in such a brilliant way.
And there's a reason Cash's version was became mainstream - it was better.
Bullshit. Just cause he was a fragile old man doesn't mean he was better. There was very little emotion in Cash's version.
Agreed. It's Trent's song, he shows far more emotion than Cash does.
Best album of 2008

Yeah, it really is something. It's like if Bruce Springsteen made a punk record. I love it.
