  1. The Gaslight Anthem - '59 Sound

Looked at the album because so many people had mentioned it here in this thread...Fuck thats a great album! Almost has a Social Distortion feel to it.

Yeah, it really is something. It's like if Bruce Springsteen made a punk record. I love it.

  2. I would reccomend everything available!

Magic definetley ranks up there with his best, as does Workin On A Dream. I would stongly reccomend the 1975 Hammersmith Show from London, it really is outstanding, one of the greatest live shows I've ever heard. Worth it for Spirit In The Night and Lost In The Flood alone ;)

  3. The four previewed songs were unbelievable, had an almost Chaos and Disorder feel to them ( I don't understand why that album is hated on so much ). I wonder if Turn Me Loose will turn up on any future release, or if it was just another "Valut" cut.

  4. One of the best post since a while.

Axl, just please stop making all negative comments about the old line-up and all positive comment about the ´current line-up´.

Please, just remeber that you became famous WITH those guy´s: if you wouldn´t have been in a band with Slash, Izzy, Duff and Steven, than there wouldn´t have been a GN´R forum and people would have never heard of you (atleast not the way, you are recognized know)

Axl - don't listen to these people.

They complain when you dont speak.

Then they complain when you do speak.

I'd much rather have Axl - or anybody else - speak their MINDS and tell us the truth . . . rather than give PC answers.

Rock and Roll isn't about being PC and kissing people's asses.

Thank God Axl speaks his mind, instead of giving us water downed bullshit answers.

Exactly, so many people have wanted the "truth" for years from Axl's point of view, and now you guys can't face it. Make up your minds.

Wow, the two of you are retarded. Please lock ;)

  6. I have owned the "Appetite for Collection" EP Import Box-Set for years now. None of the vinyls have ever been played. The box has some definite shelf wear and i'm missing the blue bandana. But everything else is in great shape.

I'm looking to either sell or trade it. I'm interested in Buckethead stuff, live DVD's of GnR from 2002 on, any signed items, or other rarities.

I also have an old never been used live bootleg 2-LP of GnR from 1988. I'm not sure what show but the cover has Guns n' Roses on the side in red and a big picture of Slash wearing a smiley face shirt with a bullet in it's head. On the back, "My Michelle" is written "My Mitchel" (lol). I'd be willing to part with it as well.

I'll post pictures if anything of interest is offered up :)

    My Mitchel? :lol::lol::lol:

    That is all...

  7. I was really surprised Trent's version is ahead. It's his song, but Cash is SO much more powerful in his version. The emotion he conveys, certainly related to the point he knew that his life was in, comes out in such a brilliant way.

And there's a reason Cash's version was became mainstream - it was better.

Bullshit. Just cause he was a fragile old man doesn't mean he was better. There was very little emotion in Cash's version.

Agreed. It's Trent's song, he shows far more emotion than Cash does.
