That's the enthusiasm I'm looking for! I agree with you 100%. I'm seeing them on Saturday and I can't wait!

Lucky you! I think I'll be seeing them in May next year and it feels like a lifetime. They're worth the wait, though, so it's all good. Plus, they're releasing a new album so I can't ask for more.

You're gonna have a blast for sure! Slash with one of the best, tightest rhythm sections and one of the greatest singers in the world, it just can't go wrong!

Yo' dude, where the hell were you? :D

Hmmm, wondering how in hell people voted for Macri

Nah, I don't really know, I should be around more often.

  2. Words can't express how happy I am to have this band back! Can't believe I'm finally getting to hear Slash playing with a great drummer and a guy who understands the concept of rhythm guitar again after YEARS (with the exception of that great performance with Foo Fighters).

Also, they played 5 songs and 3 of them are brand new, that's the Slash I want!

Bring on the album already!! :headbang:

Looks like the forum has been on a little VR kick recently. I watched this video a few weeks ago with my father and friends since we’re producing our own music documentary at the moment and thus we are taking lots of notes and information to learn from others. This documentary is very, very interesting to me. It’s also very eery to hear Weiland talk about how he’s beating addiction, and is free. What do you guys think?

I watched this documentary a few years ago, it's really cool.

About Scott's addictions, it seems like those early VR days were the only time he actually tried to get clean and I guess achieved it for a while. Have you seen this interview? I think it's really interesting. https://www.esquire.com/entertainment/music/news/a40198/scott-weiland-interview/

Oh speaking of fuck up voice. I saw the latest Bon Jovi performance on youtube singing Livin’ On a Prayer and a lot of people pointing out how Jon’s voice is auto tuned and yes it is auto tuned because he can’t reach high notes anymore.

but at least Bon Jovi still release new :Palbum (even though I don’t like it), they lost their mojo after Richie Sambora left

I really hope Richie will come back (it's looking kinda likely actually). Jon's voice is gone for good anyway and that can't be changed but still... I love Richie!

A sidenote about all those people wandering between the stage and front row, that girl, the pimp, Kat, Jarmo... What strikes me is that they are all so unfriendly. I feel like if they would smile to people in the crowd, their faces might break or something. I'm not saying they should pretend to be friends or anything, or high fiving people, but it wouldn't hurt to nod or smile or something. Maybe that's just me. I like seeing a friendly face :) I know they're working (ahum), but still.

I hate those stupid people who think they're too important and cool for the "regular people". Hey, you're just an employee doing a job, no one bought a ticket to see you, no one ever would! I think it's best to give them the least attention possible, they don't deserve any.

People can call it what you want, but it is new music. I wish other singers that Slash plays with would try it with " their " band.

    Yeah, lazy Melissa :max: (?)

It would be interesting to know how Slash would react to that piece of information provided to him by this forum. Now excuse me while I listen to my guilty pleasure pop songs Metalingus, The Unholy and Addicted To Pain that pop singer Myles Kennedy sang on.

I'm gonna listen to my favorite pop ballad, Isolation!

  6. So they played Slither, "only" 3 CD songs and got rid of The Seeker and Black Hole Sun? This must be one of the best setlists of the whole tour even without YCBM, Coma, Out Ta Get Me and My Michelle. Please, keep it this way!

    4 minutes ago, AxlRoseCDII said:

Anyone else think the worst part of Slither was Frank?

He's the worst part of every second of the show, what were you expecting?

Well, I'm not much excited about 'Slither', to be honest :shrugs:

I hope and wish he will rock it, though, but honestly, it's just another cover song, old shit, not written by him, not his lyrics and not his music.

I wish they would be playing a real new Guns N' Roses song. I'm sorry

Before the tour started I was against the idea of them playing VR too but since they're playing Axl's solo song (and so fn' many of them!) then I totally want to play at least Slither. It's a fair thing to and it's long overdue. It's not a GNR song but it's a Slash/Ned song unlike fn' Black Hole Sun or The Seeker, it's Slash getting to play his own material.

Aaaaaaand the solo fn' rips!! :drool::drool::headbang:

Ps: Also, I'm against the idea of GNR making new music until they get a competent drummer. #SorryNotSorry

Criticizing Axl doesn't make Adler any less of an idiot. It's possible for Adler to be an idiot and Axl to be less than perfect at the same time. Just like it should be possible for Guns N'Roses to do what they're doing without the original drummer they kicked out 30 years ago desperately trying to attach himself to it.

Thank you so much, this is like the perfect example of what I was saying.

One is "an idiot" and the other one is "less than perfect" :rofl-lol:

  9. Just got to listen to the whole thing. It was awesome once again, thanks @Gambit83:headbang:

Loved the way he described Myles and how he saw how good of a match he would be for Slash to be in a band with.

I hope one day you'll get to interview Elvis Baskette as well. Would love to hear from him about World On Fire, SMKC 3 and maybe about all the stuff he's done with Myles through the last two decades.

I have the same feeling about him. When he said he was looking for a heritage act as a way for him to be busy for a third of the year and he wants to turn the show into an “experience” which sounded like one of his musicals, I cringed. AFD the musical! Also, Vegas residencies with theatrics and dancers - no, that’s not a good idea at all - just ask Axl!

Every idea he has for the bands future is bad for Steven.

I hope Steven isn’t easily influenced by him.

Wow, I didn't get that far to hear all these brilliant ideas

I really hope he'll fire this idiot before coming to South America.

Personally I think this guy sucks at singing the GnR songs far more than Frank does at playing them. I'll happily take Frank over Constantine.

Personally I think it's impossible to suck more than Frank Ferrer does at playing GNR songs.

A terrible singer is more noticeable, though, I'll give you that :P

  11. I hope they'll sound good, do well, establish themselves and release an album.

Interesting Steven is looking forward to having Izzy AND SLASH as guests at some point. No mention of the businessman and it's far from shocking... Hope he'll get both to join him at some point, especially Izzy 'cause I miss watching him play.

Just booked an interview with Constantine. Questions welcomed.

Looking forward to it! Steven mentioned they want to have a new song for their upcoming tour, I'd like you to ask him if that's finally happening and if there are plans of making and album together or if they're mostly interested in touring.

It would be nice if you could ask him, as far as he knows, if Steven is in touch with Slash and Izzy and if he sees it as a real possibility they'll show up at a show at some point. Maybe he doesn't know but it's worth giving it a shot.

Todd and Myles harmonize great together, in my opinion.  Myles voice rarely bothers me, only sometimes when he sings in a really high register.  I do miss Axl (in his prime, not the current version) on the GNR songs, but the Conspirators play them so well I can overlook that.  They're one hell of a tight band!

Indeed. I think, if you could listen to SMKC and current GNR's versions of the songs without vocals, you'd think SMKC is GNR and the other band is something else. Especially when it comes to Appetite, SMKC plays it way closer to the original than GNR does.
