Americans have always been obsessed with the British Royal family,  not surprised at the tribute. It's a thing here, no saying it makes any sense, but it is.

He has always been 💯 himself,  never afraid to tell someone to fuck off. As a people pleaser who has extreme anxiety about saying no to people, I've always been inspired, and felt a little jealous of his ability to do his own thing unapologetically. He is who he is, take it or leave it. That's very rare.

Kat stopped in Japan en route to Vietnam. TB and Jordan the trainer in Portugal, so I'd assume Axl is in Portugal too.

He did seem to be more critical of Slash and Duff than Axl, which surprised me. By his account, VR was even messier than I thought.

Ok. Page 287 second paragraph is th Duff quote about Frank. "Well, Axl wants his drummer, ' he said. 'But the guy cant even play the drums. Ive gotta talk to Axl and say i really cant play with this guy'" Page 289 is the text from Fernando, Matt says he was at Alcatraz with Johnny Depp when he got the text.

The "ham and jam" bit is on Page 233. It's the near the end of the chapter about him quitting.  From the context he's referring to Axl smiling and having fun onstage now. " He had this kind of demented power,an aura. I can still see that effect in Slash's body language today whenever they play together. I can tell that Slash and the others are on eggshells around him. He's all ham and jam now,on time and shit. But there's something about him. The only other guy I met with a presence like that was Phil Spector"

The sound was excellent.  This Hard Rock used to have a different concert venue that I saw Velvet Revolver and King's of Chaos(with Duff) in, and this new one is a major upgrade. I think it opened in 2019 or so. Parking and traffic was surprisingly easy as well, I live 40 miles north, and was home in less than an hour after the show.

Line for pit was maybe a couple hundred between VIP and regular.  Security was very quick. I have tix in section 114, I was in 5 minutes after GA People.  But there were people with GA wristbands that showed up at 5:55 and got in at tge same time as people that got here at 4pm

Seating capacity is 7,000

Got a lithograph. Everyone was buying them, girl working merch was telling everyone they will sell out quickly

The doors about to open, pit people with wristbands getting in first. They are keeping the rest of us outside security area until they get in

I'm there now, there's maybe 20-25 people waiting for the pit entrance rrigh now.  I'm in the no smoking slot room, my eyes were burning on the casino floor

I seem to remember an interview with Matt during the Nu GNR days.  He said he ran into Axl at a party in NYC, they talked, Axl gave him a ride after the party. 

I met Slash after a Snake pit show at Bayfront Park in Miami 1999.  He was much smaller than I thought he would be.  They were signing autographs in the Spec's music tent after their set. They signed my Snakepit tshirt, never been worn to this day!  I totally fangirled, and he (rightfully) looked at me like I was crazy.

I met Duff at the Hard Rock in Hollywood Florida when he was doing a pre-show(KoC) book signing for "How to be a Man"  . He was lovely,, chatted and took pics with everyone, he had no recollection that he'd played this place before with Velvet Revolver, lol. 

So Axl has Herculean strength to push over a 16,000+ pound fish tank? (A gallon of water weighs 8 pounds.)  Lol. The exaggeration is strong with this one. Kim Neely wrote a book about Pearl Jam in the early 90s, so it seems she knew them both.
