  1. Yeah!!! Try walking from Anhembi to the nearest metro station under that rain on December of 1992. That only a TRUE fans would do.

You went to the 92 gig at Anhembi? You lucky bastard. I would walk from Anhembi to Rio de Janeiro under the rain, snow, or goddamn hot sun if I got to go to that gig.

    me too!!!

detail: I live just a little kilometers from Anhembi, but in '92 I was only 10 years old...

I was even younger than that in 92 and lived in Rio. Now I live in Brasilia. Shithole of a city.

My soul is way too old for my body. I think I was supposed to be born in the 70's but there was some kind of mix up.

And I've given up on the Japanese vids. We'll see them in a couple of months, maybe.

Maybe a good soul will have some from the next gig. Though I doubt that the band is gonna get carried away like they did yesterday again any time soon. :(

I'm in Goiania now, hoping that GNR comes to the city during the South America leg

fui haha com direito a correr de 4 trombadinhas na volta.

    Yeah I did!

"Just talked to someone who attended this crap-fest. She said it was pretty much a waste of time. When the band was on they were pretty good, as was Bill - but there was so much shit in the mix that it just wasn't worth it. Plus no one drives here - everyone goes to Osaka Dome by train. Trains start stopping around 11pm, so simce Bill decided to go on so late half the crowd was streaming for the gates half way through the show. So glad I didn't attend this mess. Funny to think fat Bill is probably sleeping within a mile or two of where I'm sitting right now."

to the user on MS that posted this, FUCK OFF CUNT!

Just playing devil's advocate...alot of big cities do have mass transit that stops around eleven or twelve. I believe their was a similar problem when GNR played in London a few years ago if my memory is correct. Something Axl may want to consider, but he probably won't. I'd be pissed to if I payed alot of money to see one of my favorite bands and had to leave the show early to catch a ride home or be stranded.

Just another way he truly disrespects the fans - I don't care what bullshit reason he gives for going on at 11:45 PM (Boston '02, for example, which I went to). Fucking Metallica go on at 9 or 9:15 every night and end 2 hours later, kick ass set, great show, everyone leaves happy and wanting more. That's one way to show respect back to the fans for paying exhorbitant prices for tickets. That and playing full complete shows without interupption at venues ALL OVER THE WORLD.

Man, you really are a fag,

A true fan would fucking WALK back home and would be happy to do so

I've done it and I enjoyed

Don't they have cabs? Or do cabs stop running at 11 PM also?

Sheesh. I have a lot of different cab companies' numbers on my cell phone, just for these cases.

Or just WALK home, like stated above.

I wouldn't fucking care, after seeing a kick ass show like that. Shit like that doesn't happen every day. If you're worried about getting home and waking up to go to work, stay home.

    I lol'd at "Bill". :rofl-lol:

  5. I just read through most of this insanely long thread and I'm relatively shocked by the responses & questions by certain members. I can understand being frustrated by the little communication from the G N' R camp...but bashing and ridiculing Axl Rose isn't going to remedy that situation. I swear some of you people must have really low IQ's. I'm sorry.

For example, I must have seen at least a half dozen questions referring to the breakup and why they won't have a reunion anytime soon. Axl answered it as truthfully as he could...and then you guys still keep on asking him the same question...!?!?! It was obviously a very complicated situation...Axl said that he couldn't go into that much detail...but eventually the details will come out. What is wrong with that answer??? Have any of you read Slash's book?? Half the damn book talks about the breakup and tensions between band members....and you guys seriously think Axl will say his side of the story in a few posts in a thread??? Grow the fuck up.

And all these little pot shots at Axl really make me nauseous. The guy finally comes on to speak directly to the fans and almost half the thread is bashing him...WTF!?!?! Are you guys fans of this band or you just a bunch of miserable little cry babies who will never be happy? Who's the real bi polar/recluses/hermits then!? I mean really...I can't believe some of you guys...totally disappointed.

The topper of them all was the jackass who asked Axl if he was pissed that Kanye's album outsold CD in it's first week. How was Axl suppose to respond that question, you nitwit!? This man has spent the last 15 years trying to deliver a great album...and he did...and all you can come up with is if he was pissed that West's album sold more than his?? Rocket Scientist Award of the Year - Congratulations! Kudos to Axl for responding to that idiotic question...but I don't blame him one bit for not giving a sendoff here like he did in HTGTH. That one question sums up the way Axl must view this forum and it's members. Really, really sad...especially b/c the vast majority of the regulars here are intelligent, supportive and REAL fans.

    JMO.

P.S. I'd like to sincerely apologize to the members here that did ask intelligent questions during this thread...this was in no way directed at you. Great job guys.

    +1

    exactly what I think

  6. I take one fucking night off of this forum in 4 months...and then this happens. I think I want to jump off a cliff right now...or maybe a cyanide pill would be less painful...

    exactly how i feel.

    I'm sorry for you... truly.

I was here. It started around 7:00 in the morning where I live. I had a bad night and woke up earlier than usual.

It felt like live talk with the man. I had to contain myself to avoid clicking refresh too often. I didn't want to contribute to the forum crashing.

  7. "I don't work for you. Just cuz u think so don't make it true"

Is it me or does that read like a line that could have been in "Sorry"!? Man, so much info, that Christmas eve song, wooooosh!

    Blown away still.

I said the same exact thing to my buddy. Quite a few of his posts had the makeup of potential lyrics last night.

Yeah, he's amazingly well spoken considering his time to respond. The last thing he needs are speechwriters, btw. Lol.

And :rofl-lol: to ''learn the ropes"

    that was a good one

but I believe the best moment was the one you can read in my signature

  8. Can we permanently cease the reunion chatter now? If anything was made clear tonight, whether you might agree or not, Axl is looking forward. I'm not saying whether it's right or wrong, what the proper financial decision should be, whether or not the new band will sell 17 million albums, I'm just laying it out there the way Axl truly views it. That past is long gone.

I'm afraid I have to agree...

The guy was sued AGAIN by Slash and Duff just recently.

I'm not taking sides, I'm just acknowledging that they couldn't work together.

By the way: I won't be able to take sides until Axl stops saying that there are things we don't know about and bla bla and gives us some facts.

Well, he probably has reasons for not telling the whole story from his perspective... I respect that.

  9. This album is the textbook definition of how you make a throwback sounding album your fans and the rock community have been craving while still keeping things fresh and current.

The reviews I have read so far have truly been outstanding, which speaks volumes considering how perpared the media and some fans were to write this album off. They put themselves out on the limb when they built expectations sky high by talking about making an album designed to sound like those that are the Holy Grail of Metallica albums, and it appears they pulled it off.

The group around this board that love to mock what they call the "Mulletheads" who wish GNR sounded a little more like GNR sometimes should take note of the reaction this album is getting compared to Metallica's previous attempts at reinventing their sound as the current GNR incarnation has tried to do.

A modern sounding Appetite inspired album with Axl/Slash/Duff/Izzy in the vein of what Metallica tried to do would be welcomed as the second coming, as Death Magnetic shows there is a market for a modern retro rock sound like that.

I don't have anything else to say

  10. that's a good idea for a topic:

"Things that have come out since GNR's last record"

then we can all make our jokes and keep ourselves occupied...

can anybody create this topic for us?

  11. billion!

How's everybody feeling on the eve of the big show?

DUde it's not "billion" until it's a billion

I could say that my website has got a thousandth of a billion views... wow.. a billion!!!

  12. "I *never* said Geffen has Chinese Democracy. To anyone spreading this or similar rumors, cut the crap!!"

    Bumblefoot himself

    Rumor failed.

it's so nice to hear someone within the "band" making a statement. Even if it's a negative one. At least we now know that CD is not ready.

My suggestion is: let's organize ourselves and spread rummors regularly. This has to be very well planned and has to involve a few smart guys. Maybe we could force them to keep us updated.
