To be fair, wasn't it only the radio stations that described this announcement as "huge" in their various Twitter feeds? Notwithstanding the grandiose videos I don't think the GNR camp said this announcement today would be "huge"..

Teasing with four videos "going back where it all began", presenting memorable dates in GNR history. That seems like something out of ordinary announcement of more tour dates.

Well, imagine they announce Belgrade or Zagreb arena show or other Euro place not included in 1st run (whole eastern and south Europe, Norway...) ...

There are lot of people who would get a boner for that :D

Yeah dude I would totally get a boner for that but that's because we didn't have chance to see them, GNR fans in USA have seen them already in multiple cities. So building such a hype for this can't be justified.

I really hate how every topic I go into is about whether or not the band is what people think it should be. I opened the post to see if there's any updates on the announcement or rumors and I see, "This band isn't what I want it to be!" It's always the same group of folks too.

    Fuck off

If you have a problem avoid looking for updates and rumors because that won't help you know what the announcement is.

Announcement will happen in about 7 hours so come back then.

I looked at the Buffalo ticket sales so far recently and man - there's so many seats still available. I'd be surprised if 25% of the seats have been sold.

Add a co-headliner like Aerosmith or Foo Fighters and that would help a bunch

Damn I love that. They need a nice wake up call like half sold stadiums, to get their head out of the ass and record new music because Slash and Duff in GNR became old news.

ok time to say this ,  this is not GUNS N ROSES per say this is 50 plus year old guys raking in their retirement investment  ,  new music does not sell anymore , but tickets do .

When they play markets they missed first time in US and Europe people are not gonna pay for same shit again.

Music doesn't sell like before but it sells well considering piracy, and gets people hyped about seeing the band again of course if these old fuckers can still write a good song.

  6. He's completely right just look how they treat us. They earned 200+ milion dollars on nostalgia act and they aren't decent enough to organise at least limited meet and greet on shows, or do ONE decent interview where they answer some fucking questions finally.

GNR had all potential in the world to be biggest band of their generation, but they blew it and Metallica became that fair play to them.

Geez. Can't you use a different colour? This is barely readable. I've changed that for you and anyone wanting to have an easier time reading this.

There is no way more than 10 people are gonna read all of that anyway. lol

They're co-headlining with a band (The Who) at the end of a 1.5 year tour. The tour will not be able to fill stadiums for much longer - it would make sense to team up with another huge band. Also - A U2/GnR bill would be a kickass show (imho). Just like how they brought us Metallica at the expense of extra cash, it would be cool to see that again. That would help them continue playing stadiums.

As for The Cult, they're an opening band that's pretty irrelevant. I think Axl could have chosen a better band. He used to have good taste in music back in the day.

Fuck any co-headlining band. After 2nd US leg and European leg they better release album to support next stadium tour or they can enjoy playing in the arenas.

You can't stop someone walking into a crowd as masses of people leave an arena/stadium. There is no way to prevent that from occurring.

Yes there is a way. Prohibit anybody in radius of 50 meters to get close to the venue exit. If what Gunsguy said that military in UK would be deployed on events where are huge crowds of people that should be easy thing to do. And rest of the European countries should do the same thing this shit can't become regular thing.

And....it's the respectful thing to do.  Guess what the world doesn't revolve around you or some fairly unimportant announcement, my god get over yourself.

It isn't like they were going to drop announcement on the same day as incident happened, if that was the case of course I would understand, it was supposed to happen 2 days after anyway adding one more day doesn't make any sense.

I would assume Slane Castle will be postponed. Quite a few shows were postponed after the Paris attacks and for everyone's safety it might be a good thing to do. :(

It's Ireland that's one of safest places imo. They are nowhere near hated by terrorist as UK, USA, France, Germany. If first show was in London, Paris or Munich they would might consider to postpone it but not Ireland.
