I watched the interview of Axl and Duff from earlier on in the tour and Axl is genuinely happy and full of smiles when talking about ACDC and Angus in particular. What interests me is how did Angus get on stage. Did he ring Axl personally ? The tour manager ? I hope and think it would be the first one. I love it that they are friends for the first time perhaps Angus has found someone within the industry who he feels a real connection with. Its great ! I cant get enough

Yeah he is just vocally tired, I think its fair to say the ACDC legs did a number on his vocal chops, especially the NA leg of that tour. Ever since then he has been steadily getting more airy in his tone and cracking more often.
Or it could be the 119 shows just taking its toll a little bit

As far as pop music goes, this guy does have an incredible amount of talent. And he puts on a great live show all by himself. So yeah, kudos to him.
I think he I good at what he does no doubt. I saw his Glastonbury set and I thought it was so boring it lacked energy. There was none

It's fuckin insane. I tried to get some on behalf of someone else (honest) and couldn't get any out of 3 stadium shows at Manchester. Those extra dates at the bottom will sell out as fast as the ticketmaster servers will let them when they go on sale tomorrow.
Fair play to the guy, I honestly don't know anyone else - not even oasis could sell that many dates so quickly in the UK.
This was my first though the only UK artist that could potentially achieve this would be Oasis. Yet again I'm not even sure they would at this stage. It crazy

How can an artist like Ed Sheehan achieve a sell out UK tour like this. I think this shows how bad the music scene is at the moment. Music is in a awful state and I don't see it improving any time soon unless the big music companies start supporting independent artists instead of manufactured solo artist and boy/girl groups. On Ed Sheehan's last album he had over 15 different writers credited. Fair play to him for the number but I personally don't think he is anywhere near good enough. Especially considering bands with the stature and legacy GnR/ACDC only play 2/3 stadium shows per leg in the UK/Ireland. Its not like the tickets are cheap either £82.50 for standing St James Park Newcastle.

I think it has allot to do with the fact that he had to learn ACDC songs from scratch using 2016 Axl vocal capabilities. Whereas he still tires to sing GnR songs the way he did in the 90's which he cant hence the poor vocals.

He's saving that voice and precious rasp for his next years project with Angus. Doesn't want to push it
-
Great show all covers bar BHS were massive hits with the crowd. I don't mind the clean vocals but if he's going to do it then November Rain and YCBM should be dropped. Far too noticeable and a little hard to listen too in them. Apart from that can't fault anyone
-
His vocal coach streamed NR. That to me confirms it must be a conscious effort to sing with those clean vocals. He sounds good not the CD material (no surprise). He could do it if he wanted too. His voice is still there Imo

under no circumstance should axl do anything with fake ac/dc. if he does axl will have officially cheapened the legacy of TWO classic bands instead of just one. it takes more than one original member, axl. we are you gonna get that through your wig?
if gnr fade away into the cash grab sunset and only release cash grab projects well... I would have expected nothing less from axl and his enablers at Team Yes.
With that said I'm hoping ivanka and Jared can persuade Donald to write and record new music.
'Fake ACDC' put on a show equal, if not better than the current GnR show so I dont think its fair to say he would ruin the legacy of any of the bands. If Axl was to join Angus I don't think it would be called ACDC. I think it would be Angus and Axl (without the school suit) creatively different from both ACDC and GnR. Although I don't mind them continuing ACDC like it was last year because the shows Axl did were incredible so much power and energy it was like seeing a 20 years younger ACDC compared to 2015. I don't think I will see a better show then Sevilla or Manchester ever again.

Frank plays Roise and Riff Raff very very well imo

Got a feeling Angus might be there tonight. Might be just as a guess though. Could be wrong

Can anyone let me know how much a pint is in the bars in the city ?

It's not entirely untrue - Bon was indeed a fan of Brian's having seen him years earlier but that wasn't the sole reason he got hired. Mutt Lange had suggested him to the boys and Angus liked his high pitched wail so he got the gig. It was as simple as that.
Mutt might have, but originally it was a guy from Cleveland who sent a letter to the band saying they had to listen to this Brian Johnson.

Skip to the Breakdown of BBB. Thats ACDC. Brian poor again just like NO Bull and LARP.
-
Axl using clean voice for Roise but sounds fine and in tune. Nothing wrong with that.
-
Didn't Axl say that a new album would defo be coming but didn't know if slash would play on it ? This was at the press conference he did when he was in London with Axl/DC
-
Can't figure out Axl. He sounded amazing on highway to hell with Billy Joel. So annoying.
Edit: sounded fine in Rosie last night too

I agree I say it many times but GTDAB will stay with me forever from that show. He was incredible. However in terms of overall every show he was standing was better. I turned to the person who I was with and said I haven't looked at Angus once and we were halfway through. I mass Axl in ACDC

I think CD sounded too 'busy' if you know what i mean, just too much of everything and Axl's vocals were very unexpected, I mean that i didn't know he sang like that and I was shocked. When i joined this forum i remember someone posted a clip of him singing WTTJ and i thought Axl was pissing about doing a funny voice. He wasn't. That was his voice. Obviously this is just my opinion malice intended.
I would love an album of just rock/bluesy stuff.
I agree CD seems to be a mess of sound. I cant even hear Axl. Reminds me of Blow UP Your Video by ACDC. The songs would have been okay if they were produced right. I think the same for CD.

Yeah, let's party like it's 1993.
But seriously, the casual fans you are talking about get what they want already: they want Sweet Child of Mine, It's So Easy, Live and Let Die, November Rain, Mr Brownstone, Jungle, Heaven's Door...
Yes thats what the band is promoting with this tour. Nothing but nostalgia. They did it themselves. If they came back with a new album I would be open to them playing less "Casual songs". But with the way they have marketed this tour they should play all the hits every night. Thats what people bought the ticket for. Hence the increase in demand. People are disappointed and bored with some of the covers and most of the CD tracks. They get bored, and loose interest fast.
What if the acdc role came before Slash came back.?

I honestly think if the ACDC thing had come before NITL he would have put off the reunion for a few years. The vibe I get from Axl is that he isn't doing NITL for the money he's doing it for the fans and perhaps a bit of closure on the whole GnR thing. I think after NITL if Angus hadn't come along Axl would have put out some solo stuff not under GnR name. For me Axl has been a bit different this tour ,so relaxed. Might just be this is the last go around for him as GnR perhaps. Unless we get new music from these three.
