So the media tells the drones that Kim Kardashian's human existence is the butt of your cheap pop culture joke stash (the lowest hanging of all comedic fruit by the way), and you guys use that as justification for losing all sense of humanism.

Getting your hotel room broken into by five men with guns is a horrifying experience, one of which nothing Kim has done could possibly justify. Its really sad, violent, horrifying, and digusting to violate someones safe and private space with violence and threats.

I dont particuarly enjoy Kim as a public figure, and I feel she represents some pretty shitty things about our society, but I'm also not stupid enough to believe that she has done any kind of wrong that is deserving of this.

I hope she and her family are doing alright. Lucky her children were not there :(

I see what you're saying but when I read truly horrific headlines of people getting abducted, murdered , etc...that's what garners my empathy.  Yea ok, she was violated and mentally scarred but she wasn't physically harmed. Sorry if some of us don't have it in us to bury out faces in our hands and cry.

Hello all, I'm not one to air my dirty laundry on social media.  But I'm a bit lost at the moment.  I've been with my girlfriend for almost 8 years now...to make a long story as short as possible. ..I've caught her cheating...again.  first time was about 7 months ago, she was talking to this dude on snapchat and facebook. She had been acting funny before then. I got very ill last winter, and because we financially depend on eachother to pay our share the bills. I decided to stay on the couch until I got better to avoid getting her sick. Well once I got better,  she claimed she couldn't sleep with me in the bed because the bed is too small...which was never an issue the previous 7 years..top it off, she started spending more time on her phone, spending less time with me on a daily basis.  Normally I'm against snooping through someone else's phone, especially if it's your spouse..and as you can figure,  I found messages and pictures.  She's never been one to cheat, she's the most honest person ive ever met. To find this, just completely floored me. I eventually confronted her. We had it out and she said she has cut off connections with this guy.

Fast forward to the current date, things seemed to have improved slowly..spending a little more time with eachother,  going out on dates on our nights off. But she still was a little distant with me. I figured it is just a rebuilding process and not to rush anything...she still spends alot of time on her phone. Claiming to be talking to her family and best friend...and to a point, it started aggravating me that she wouldn't put the phone away during our dinner dates, at the movies and trying to have conversations with her...so today, I took it upon myself to take a look through her old phone...and behold...a ton of nude pictures of herself  and a few pictures of the same dude...

So I'm lost at the moment. ..I seriously love this woman with all my heart...I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her...I can't find it within myself to confront her about this...I know I'm being stupid and naive because obviously she hasn't changed...and the relationship is or has been over for sometime and I've been to blind to realize it...

I don't know why I'm actually sharing this, guess its more of my way of venting..

Like I mentioned,  we financially depend on eachother for our share of the bills and nither of us can afford to live on our own...especially with our jobs being so local and our families living far away..so yeah..

Man...once she became infatuated with this other guy she checked out emotionally with you. She didn't choose to end things with him on her own accord, it was because she got caught. Thing is, she most likely ended nothing, just found ways to hide it better.

All you have is bills? You've got No real ties like children? Dude, drop her ass. She's showing her wares to another guy...she's gone already..sorry to say..

Isn't this like the third thread that has been made about this? Who the hell cares if she's in the band or not? I don't mind that she's there but wouldn't miss her either. What I don't understand are the people obsessed with the fact she's there and want her kicked out. Seems kinda weird if it bothers you that much tbh.

    This ^

@Tiffani Your son is really cute and that's lovely that you guys enjoy Ghostbusters together so much! :headbang:

That being said though, this reboot is absolute rehash-trash. I think if they make another movie they should kill off this cast and maybe turn them into the villains. Maybe they are astral beings who manifested themselves in our world to try and trick humanity into believing they were our saviors so they could replace the REAL Ghostbusters and not be stopped when they carry out their ultimate plan...dun, dun, dun. That's off the top of my head and probably cliche and it's still better than this movie.

P.S. I cannot believe ANYONE finds Melissa McCarthy funny. I mean, holy fuck. She has literally never made me laugh once. Bridesmaids made me want to kill myself.

Thank you! Yes, we really enjoyed the movie. I dunno, I thought it was entertaining...not as much as the original 2 movies, however. I would watch another movie with the latest cast if made and released.

    Oh no....attack of the Vedderettes!

  8. What bands are like sandpaper to your ears? What bands make you change the radio station when you're listening?

For me it's Reo Speedwagon and that horrid Hootie and The Blowfish, sometimes Pearl Jam and Creed.

All of the above is sad, sorry assed, whiny shit to me, Hootie being the absolute worst. I'm so happy their music is no longer on a constant rotation. It makes me want to scratch my eyes out!

What letter could one possibly receive from Charles Manson that was not one that could be described as disturbing? What did they expect to receive from him before embarking on this school project? A Keatsean love ode?

I know. They should have opted for pen pals with other students from another school in the district or something like that. My ex couldn't recall what the class wrote in the letter. I remember pressing him to say.

  10. 9 minutes ago, AxlsFavoriteRose said:

that is extremely disturbing. i hope that teacher was set straight!

I doubt (edit): oops, I meant so hope so...he was probably talking about raping her and gutting the children alive... the sick fuck that he is.

You're much welcomed and Thank you too dear! ?

Regarding Manson, my ex told me that in grade school his class wrote a letter to Manson as part of a class project, (why in the hell, I have no idea). Anyway, he wrote the class back but when the teacher opened the letter and read it, he said that his teacher looked really scared and refused to share the letter with the class. This was sometime in the 80's

Now, why a teacher would feel that it would be a good idea to have her grade school class write to Charles Manson is beyond my comprehension.

actually there is a guy i would write to. his name is Randy Wood and he did a good thing to make sure a bad person got the punishment he deserved but in doing so he turned down a plea deal and now is going to be in prison til he is quite old. here is a link to his story, it's long but very interesting IMO :)

Wow...I read the whole thing. What a terrible story and a complete waste of life for the poor girl Heather and Randy. I can see why you felt the desire to write to him. I'm sure he greatly appreciated the correspondence.

@Len Cnut You're a wise, wise man. To hell with all that crazy bullshit. No way...lol

    @DieselDaisy  LOL..

@AxlsFavoriteRose OMG, I am so sorry you had to go through that kind of stress and grief at such a young age. That is terrible. And I am also sorry for the loss of your mother. I lost my mother 12 years ago so i can relate. I can't relate to the other stresses and dangers you were subjected to. I'm so happy you got out with your life and sanity. That's so scary and as @Whiskey Rose noted, you were so young to be going through that shit. You must be a very strong woman today.

As for your ex, I'm sorry for your loss there also. I imagine that you felt some sense of something when you found out his fate. Man...hard drugs and prescription narcotics are nothing but a recipe for an early grave and a lot of hell and turmoil on the way there. It's all fun and games until that monkey wraps its limbs around your back.

He weren't really a genius though, its just it was a time where the nation was wide open for coke and he got in on the ground floor, he was hardly shrewd though, he got fucked over pretty quickly and tends to happen in these sorts of enterprises because you have to be a pretty ruthless person.  Nor were his transporting methods particularly ingenious.  He was a bit of a mark really, someone that was used by a lot of coke barons to make them a lot of money and then fucked over the minute they could edge him out of the picture.  Fair dues he made a fair deal of money out of the deal but what use is it, having spent most of his life indoors?  The clever ones are the ones who don't end up inside and generally speaking all of em do.

And even if you are successful at that shit, some people i know are VERY successful at it, it don't do you a lot of good because you can't move the money.  When you're talking like, a person whoose sitting on a mil or ten or twenty, it's pointless cuz you can't do shit with it, the only people who can thrive on that money are your big boys who earn into the 100s of millions from it because they can pay the right people to clean their money, or you got your Escobars and Chappos.  Other than that, the relatively lower rungs of the ladder, truly speaking, you're better off using your brains and applying them to something legal and profitable, you actually get to live to enjoy your money and you don't have to spend your life looking over your shoulder.  What good is money that you can't parlay off into some kind of worthwhile asset?  Expensive watches and a nice car get boring and, in the long run, are insubstantial.

Very, very true. I hadn't looked at it that way, but you are absolutely correct.

I would personally hate to live a life of constantly looking over my shoulder for either the law or rivals looking to take me out. Then being paranoid that someone could murder or abduct someone in my family to get to me. Always having to have a plan B, C and D and looking to stay steps ahead of everyone else.

Like my mother used to tell me, "All money isnt good money," and that kind of drama and danger isn't worth the payday.

I'm curious as to actually what you wrote in your letter.

Man it's been so long that I don't remember specifics, but the gist of it. I'm a big fan of the movie, even moreso about 10 years ago.

I felt compelled to write him to explain that I felt he had a brilliant mind in order to pull off what he did back in the day and to reach the level of "success," for lack of better word that he did. I told him that at one point when I was younger one circle of friends I hung out with were hustlers looking for an angle to make money, and back then it was kind of fascinating. Ultimately, that life wasn't for me.

On a side note here, I heard about some stuff that was really messed up that a couple of them were involved in and that's when I distanced myself from that crowd.

I remember asking him of he had seen the movie, and if so I wanted to know how close to fact it was. I also told him that I hoped he and his daughter were close again.

So, I wasn't sure if he would respond but if so I totally expected to receive a response at least somewhat relevant to what I wrote him. Instead like I explained, dude went on about how he needed a woman and how he loved to be dominated. It's safe to say that I didn't write back lol.

Why on earth would you want to write a letter to some old coke mule that sleeps with a half glass of water with his teeth floating in them every night?

L M A O....well that's one way to look at it. Definitely sums it up lol

I hope you handled his letter with rubber gloves?

Argh.....too late for those precautions! Lol

  17. I sent a letter to George Jung in prison, (the movie "Blow" Johnny - fuckin fine ass- Depp lol), hell....back in maybe 2007 or so....honestly I don't remember the year. Unfortunately, I lost his response letter during a move!! Anyway, dude was a complete horndog. In his response he was talking about how he liked to be dominated and shit, full of specifics lol, even though my letter had nothing to do with anything sexual. He seemed desperate for some female interaction, and I'm sure he was considering all the hard bodies in the joint lol.

Anyway, I'm curious to know if anyone else has written to a famous, or should so say "infamous" criminal. Or maybe you know someone who has.

    Either way, do tell...LOL
