Izzy has said a couple of times that, since he didn't have a say in the videos, he didn't want to be a part of them. Simple as that.

Adding to what others have said, I think River has some of the best Izzy's songs.

I don't know where that bullshit of Izzy not rehearsing with the band when he got back in '93 came from, but there's a video out there (I think is on the "Most dangerous band in the world" documentary) of Izzy singing Nightrain in rehearsals in Tel Aviv '93, cause, guess who really wasn't there to sing it? Yeah

I'm afraid Patience is about her, since apparently, she has the original tape with the song that Izzy gave to her.

I'm mostly kidding all the time but yeah, i liked them as a couple. They were young, wild and attractive (also assholes according to the plane incident), but it is clear she wasn't what Izzy needed when he decided to get clean.

I said "big scare" not "big scar". What I said is that I recall Slash saying he got home with blood on his face and that's what made him decide to get clean.

Uhm, I'm not sure but I think Slash said Izzy arrived home with blood all over his face but he didn't say what happened he was just scared to death and called his father. The car accident, could be yeah.

Didn't Izzy get clean in December '89? Slash mentions on his bio that Izzy had a big scare one night. He didn't say what happened but it made Izzy call his family and his father took him back home to Lafayette to get clean. Maybe that big scare is what we see on his face in the Stones video? 

To me Izzy was an essential part of their sound. A good rhythm guitarist can elevate a simple song to AFD.
