I fail to see how to come back to get the money they owed him is wrong or a bad thing or proves anything? It was his money, wouldn't you do the same? Of course he admitted it because it's normal

Why?
Izzy founded Guns N' Roses. Slash and Duff didn't.
Izzy wrote far more than Duff McKagan
Izzy wrote more than Slash also.
And do not mention the Izzy quitting thing as Axl quit Guns in 1995, creating a new band (which Slash and Duff subsequently quit), i.e. they all quit Guns at some point between 1991 - 1997.
I hate to be out of likes when I want to like the fuck out of this comment!

Equal share. Not more money than Axl Slash or Duff...you know he has some dignity and feels as important as his ex bandmates. He doesn't want to be treated like some useless piece of shit and I agree with him.
I'm out of likes, but THIS, basically.

Man, I love to be a rhythm guitarist. We are so silently brilliant yet so underrated

Just now, Lio said:
Um, didn't he just tweet he wanted an equal share of the 'loot'? To me, that sounds like wanting more money (rightly so or not, I don't know).
It's wanting the money he deserves, and he obviously deserve equals as a founding member and main song writer. I don't think Izzy is that stupid to ask for more money just to be a guest, to be honest.

It's like you summoned him with the crying pic, Jane

No, he just wants more money. Talk about turning it around.
Sure, the guy who left the band when it was at its peak has a life revolving around money. Not buying it, sorry

Izzy didn't put up with Axl's shit wanting to be the boss 25 years ago why should he now? It's called integrity. Guns n roses was a "best friends" band for him and he was just disappointed in his best friend shoving a stupid contract on his face. He deserves nothing less than the "big three" (I find that expression really amusing) offering him a simple spot as a hired hand is insulting.

I feel your pain, Jane. It seems like yesterday that I was trying to get some sleep and he kept on tweeting the lyrics of FP Money. He was just so damn adorable I kept checking my phone like: awww, look at this little fucker he's so proud, who needs to sleep anyway?

25 years here too. 25 years of silence, 25 years of pain, 25 years that are gone forever and i'll never have again (sorry, had to) Izzy leaving the band kinda was the first "drama" of my teenage years. I still hold onto a small hope for an Appetite reunion tour next year for the 30th anniversary.

I love Guns n roses (80's to 93) songs to death but Izzy's solo work is pretty great and usually overlooked, I listen to it as much as I listen to GnR. His album with the Jujus is a treasure full of great songs (Shuffle it all, Train tracks, How will it go, Somebody knockin'... and the Pressure drop cover is one of my favs ever) and 117º is a pretty good rock album too. Although he's been kinda irregular, he has a lot of great great songs of his own.

Why should we? The "present" Guns n roses wouldn't exist without him, not to mention half of the songs they are playing, so I think he is pretty relevant to talk about actually.

Regarding the Izzy issue, I'm not really sure of how truthful this is but I read it in a spanish message board. Some user claimed to have a contact backstage in NY that apparently talked to a journalist that had supposedly spoken with Adler's assistant on previous days. Such journalist said that it was confirmed that Izzy was the one who put the "Appetite five" reunion on the table, that he wanted to make new music and tour with it, and that Axl said "no" and Slash and Duff said "whatever Axl says". As I said, I don't know if there's any truth to it since I just happened to read this in another forum and I don't even know the guy personally. By the way I don't know if I can post the link to this info here, I've been here for just one day and I don't want to be kicked off so fast for breaking the rules!

I knew he toyed with being a part of the band but I didn't know it was for being the frontman of it
He didn't want to be a frontman Axl style, nor having a proper lead singer. He wanted to do something like he did with the Jujus but sharing vocal duties with Duff. Man, I can't help but think that would have been awesome.

Maybe his next lyrics would go something like this
Im never gonna come back
they took all my money
they ain't even payin' me
they got my lookalike
Steven sold out his soul
I wrote so many songs
but they din't even give me a call
So I ran to Vietnam
just to make a tweet
I'm dying
It's a pitty he doesn't tweet anymore, I had so much fun seeing how lost he seemed around new technologies...

He is probably enjoying life his own way as he has been doing for the last 25 years. And as much as I'd love to see him joining the band, he has all the right to live his life as he wants.

From someone that started playing guitar because of Izzy Stradlin, yes, he should be there at the same level than Axl, Slash and Duff. I really like Richard Fortus and I think he is a very decent guitar player, but Izzy IS Guns n roses, he wrote half of the songs and he rarely gets the credit he deserves. We don't really know why he isn't part of the reunion but, in my opinion, trying to make him appear as a hired hand is just an insult.

Izzy Stradlin comments on reunion
in GUNS N' ROSES - DISCUSSION & NEWS

I'm starting to feel that guy who claimed to have a contact at NY backstage was right when he said Adler's assistant told his contact that Izzy wanted a full Appetite reunion, just the five of them, new music and tour (Axl saying NO and Duff and Slash saying "whatever Axl says"). Izzy being pissed at Steven for finally accepting to play with them makes all sense to me now.
