  1. I will be attending this show. It is taking place in our brand new 278 million dollar stadium that opens in July 2017. I will be the first to admit that I am an AC/DC fan first and foremost but had the opportunity to see Axl live in September in NYC at the MSG show.  I had floor seats then that I bought when they went on resale so thanks to whoever asked for a refund on them. :) Axl absolutely blew my mind and I can't say enough good things about the job he did.

I used the Nighttrain presale yesterday to purchase tickets for my wife in GA Pit 1 on Slash's side.  We have other friends that are also in the same pit so very looking forward to it.

No, I'm holding out for pit in St Louis and I think they held all the pit for that show back with the VIP packages for now.   So it's a waiting game for me.

also waiting on someone to get back to me on a freebie to Minneapolis....so we'll see how that goes.

May end up traveling to the Gorge show as well, but not ready to plan that right now.

For the Canadian cities you could choose the pit without the VIP Package for $250 if you had a fanclub membership or purchased one with the ticket.  I checked and I guess you didn't have that option.  Worked me though because I bought a pair in the PIT 1 on Slash's side without a VIP Package.  Expensive but so is life...

Rock radio in fargo north dakota also hyping big announcement tomorrow morning. Not sure if they jump on minneapolis stuff or not. It'd only like, 4 hours from them.

That's interesting. I've been to Fargo twice for AC/DC (2009 and 2016) and the Fargodome only holds 22Kish for shows. So large for arena purposes but small for stadium purposes. I would guess they are piggybacking off the Minneapolis show but who knows. Especially with Winnipeg getting a show which is also only 4 hours from Fargo.

The Edmonton show was rumoured for August 30, right? This means if they're doing Vancouver it'll be September 1-2. I'm going kinda crazy waiting for the announcement...

Yes Regina is rumoured for the 27th and Edmonton the 30th.  Does Guns like to do shows back to back much?  I'm new at following the logistics of them?

OK, thanks for answering.....but, well I'm skeptical on that one myself.  First off, the Gorge has a capacity of 20K, doesn't really fit in with the stadium model we are seeing....and well all the other reasons I'd be skeptical about this popping up from a market that has had no other rumors or billboard sightings, etc before this.  Especially a very SMALL market like that one.  Gonna believe that one when I see it, but thanks for explaining the origination of the photo.

In my opinion I don't discount the theory of this show taking place, even with it being a smaller venue.  Right now I am more curious about the logistics of it.  If Regina is August 27th and Edmonton August 30 I thought for sure that Vancouver would have been September 3rd.  Just like we can assume that Winnipeg is likely August 24th.  Mind you I'm leaving 3 days gaps there because that's what I got used to seeing with AC/DC.  I don't think it's a blast jumping borders to go to Washington state and then jump back across to Vancouver but I guess anything is possible and we will know Monday.

  6. The main rock station 104.9 The Wolf in Regina, Saskatchewan is making a major concert announcement  Monday morning according to their Facebook page. So of course GnR at the new Mosaic Stadium as previously discussed. Now it's a matter of what date but the last week of August seems likely based on previous posts about the Edmonton show earlier in this thread.

So if it's an arena tour in the US does that mean MSG will be a venue?

It certainly won't be an arena show in Canada.  In Regina our arena only holds about 8K for concerts.  GnR played here when it was just Axl and Velvet Revolver also but this is different obviously.  Plus we have the BRAND new stadium that will hold close to 40K for concerts.  When AC/DC played our old stadium on the Black Ice tour they sold 40000 tickets in 15 minutes.  In a city of about 200K at that time.

  8. Remember guys what I said about Regina.  Our new stadium isn't ready until AFTER July 1, 2017.  Theoretically they could play the old stadium but they are 1 block away from each other and the difference between the 2 is drastic. Mind you the old stadium has had the Rolling Stones x 2, AC/DC, Bon Jovi with Kid Rock, and Paul McCartney in the last decade.14079794_10153694656275689_2964307590463

Also weather for stadium shows in Canada has to be factored in.  Basically that leaves July, August, and September for outdoor stadiums in Canada.

  9. Some more information about Regina, Saskatchewan for those interested:

New Mosaic Stadium will have it's grand opening likely on July 1, 2017.  This will be a pro football game (CFL).

The stadium costed $278 Million CAD to build and was substantially complete a couple of months ago.

I've sat in the stadium for a test event and there isn't a bad seat in the house.

For GnR to have a huge show in Regina at a brand new building like this will be great.

It's an open air stadium and as mentioned the stadium doesn't officially open until July 1, 2017 so I assume the GnR show is after that.

If anyone is interested they can visit www.newmosaicstadium.com also.
