I think KOHD is waaay over rated. Not sure why it gets played so much on the radio.

the set list has way too many covers. I wish they’d drop all of the covers including KOHD and LALD. Maybe keep the seeker and throw some more original content in the mix, locomotive, dead horse , perfect crime.... and I’ve always really wanted to see get in the ring live.

Oh yes all of them. Locomotive would be amazing.

I thought they should have Played Get In The Ring as their first song back together at the Troubadour. It would have been so awesome for the 800 lucky buggers there.

I loved Wichita. They should drop Black Hole Sun. Axl improved singing this song later but I don't think this cover fit the setlist. I agree about Slither.

It would be great if they'd do Nice Boys. But for me a strong, powerful vocals make the song great like in 2010 or 1993. It sounded like shit in 2013 and 2017. After Shadow Of Your Love I think Axl can pull it off. Sure not like in 2010 but it could be something cool.

    He sounds spectacular here:

Nice Boys would be really cool.

Fair enough if you like Witcheta. But the problem with Witcheta for me is where it is in the set. Right after Sweet Chilld the crowd are pumped and the people who sit down are off their backsides. Then Witcheta brings it down. Axl sings it well but it's boring live and I don't have any attachment with the song. Most people in Europe I've spoken to think the same.

He's got another series!  A second series!  Yes sir, 25 years since KMKWAP he's comin' back as 'the voice of Brexit', basically its gonna be like The One Show hosted by Alan Partridge, this is gonna be the fuckin' bollocks clearly, as is everything Partridge!

Holy shit a Alan Partridge thread on a GNR Forum!! Finally he's made it.

I missed the first episode but will get it on catch up

As far as covers on the NITL tour, Wichita Lineman is definitely my favourite (though Live And Let Die was surprisingly awesome at those Vegas 2016 shows!). I Feel Good was kinda cool when I saw them play it, overall it's kinda boring but Axl sounded good on it.

My least favourite is definitely Black Hole Sun. It sucks, it doesn't fit the set, and Axl can't sing it.

Slither had the potential to be awesome but Axl sounds like a dying Mickey Mouse on the chorus and that brings the whole thing down. He sounds good on the verses but the song nosedives at 'Yeeeaaa, hea' comes tha waaaa-taaaa'.

Oh yeah Axl murders Slither at the 'hear comes the water part'. It's only good when the crowd drowns him out. The band sound awesome doing Slither.

I must say Wichita is awful. Axl sings it well but it's a real concert killer. It didn't go down too well in Europe

The Seeker is my favourite. Really gets the crowd going at the end

The best way I can describe it is there was a huge clog up of people down that entire back wall (where they stupidly had a bar also). Just people jam-packed together in this immense crush covering the entire back wall and to a certain extent up the sides.

I'm glad I got out early also: after four songs (after ''Ghosts'')! Probably one of the most horrendous experiences I have ever had in my life I have to say. Never had an experience like that before.

    PS

But of course I missed the worst of it as I was gone after four songs. Apparently, reading reports online, at some point they locked the door because of a medical emergency, and it took 40mins to retrieve a girl who had passed out. I was long gone when this happened.

Really that's a bummer. It was hot in there.

I can honestly say it was a great experience for me. Me and the mate I went with were surprised at what we heard after the show.

Yes, somebody mentioned that on that chat you posted (they are not even answering their phone!) but there are a few different places you can contact. Somebody posted this: ''south Yorkshire police are aware and have advised that complaints over and above refunds are raised with the HSE (health and safety executive) through Doncaster County Counsel''. Couple of different emails are given.

How long ago was Manchester Bombing? Unbelievable!

Anyway I'm just going to try and forget this whole thing ever happened over the weekend then write something next week. Try and blot the whole thing out of my mind.

I have heard quite a few people complaining about Doncaster Dome. I must say I found it fine. I was centre right about 10 rows back and had plenty of room. I even got out really quickly. It sounds like a lot of people were hanging at the back.

It was a strange venue but quite refreshing to go to a gig that wasn't a chain or owned by Ticketmaster. They could certainly do with more staff though. I'm glad I got in early.

This Slither was pretty awesome! Axl’s clean voice still irritates me on the choruses, but for some reason it sounds better to me now as opposed to the early concerts. Fucking awesome.

The chorus is brutal. Castle Donington was the best chorus as the crowd singing drowned Axl out.

It is better live in person. The band sound great and Axl got better but it doesn't suit him. They should drop it.

If anybody happens to notice any regular or gold standing come back on sale for this gig I would be very grateful if you could post on here :headbang:

My mates girlfriend is pregnant so he has a spare. Let me know if you're interested. Gold circle

Received word back from "VIP" Nation who confirmed no cloak room and they give you "a bag" for the "gift".

They completely ignored whatever my concerns were about personal bag size and keeping lithos/merch safe etc

    Fuck 'em!

If you are Early Entry and get the rail your swag should be OK. I saw people in Slane with their stuff and it was fine... You should take a plastic bag/bin liner if it's pissing down

I didn't get to see him with STP either and it sucks because I love them! I'm a bigger fan of his other solo record, though, Happy In Galoshes is brilliant IMO.

Missing Cleveland is epic. One of my favourite songs.

I saw him with STP 4 times. He was by far the only star of the band. I loved how he'd stand in-between Slash N Duff in VR. 3 Stars together

Just wondering where to stay for this weekend.
Will Bloomsbury area be to far away? Need something else that the shows as well... shopping, restaurants, bars etc.
Is it easy to get to the show from area's so far away from the stadium?

Stratford is the closest Tube station to stadium. It's on the Red Line. You can get free tube maps in most stations. Easy and quick from central London.

The original Hard Rock Cafe is in London at Hyde Park. It has quite a lot Guns and VR stuff downstairs including Axl's skeleton jacket. The HRC store next door has a Vault with cool stuff Inc Slash guitar, Gene bass, Page guitar, Hendrix stuff. It's free to get in.

There's quite a few good rock bars. Camden area has a few. There's a good dirty bar in central London called the Crobar.

My favourite tourist attraction is The Tower of London. Very interesting history. Think it's £22-24. Well worth it. St Paul's is also a great building and you get a good view at the top. And Churchills War Rooms is great if you are interested in him. The British and Natural History museum are both free and interesting.

  12. I'd love to hear Guns do this. Weiland and Axl didn't really have any beef. He just posted that message taking the Mick out of Axl.

It'd be cool as a one off for a tribute to Scott. Slash N Duff have been pretty quiet about Scott since he passed. They actually played in South America on Scott's birthday in October and didn't do anything.

I like to think Wish You Were Here is a tribute to him
