I'm not altogether sure that the Appetite 5 together on tour would be any more profitable then another round of the NITL line-up. It's the holy grail for most of us, but the average person buying stadium tickets doesn't care who the drummer and rhythm guitarist are.

Exactly right, and all most promoters care about is Axl/Slash and to a lesser degree Duff.

  2. Sorry to be a bother but I've got a bit of a quandary and a question.

I was getting some rather bizarre private messages from a member here when I first signed up and I turned that feature off.

Is there any way to turn it back on and control who can send you things?

Overall the vocals are still good. My point is, on certain songs, and not few, even a douchebag non-talent like Constantine gives Axl a run for his money. However some people here actually consider those vocals to be "great" so what can ya say?

I can't take you seriously if you think Constantine gives Axl a run for his money :D

    Ludicrous and laughable.

Yes such amazing vocals kicking in at 1:00 - no way can a broadway posuer beat that. Incredible

Then Rocket Queen - check out those powerful vocals at 2:28 OMG

How about this epic Axl vocal at Apollo of Yesterdays - EARGASM

I was actually AT the Apollo show and Axl sounded great. :)

We will simply have to agree to disagree.

You may be one of those "fans" @Fernando was talking about.  :hahafyou:

I would actually not trust the judgment of someone who thinks Axl(current Axl) sounds better than anybody. There is a long list of singers that sound better than Axl now. You have to be pretty bad to not be on the list.

I disagree- Axl has an amazing range and voice.

Nobody sounds better on GNR songs than Axl- certainly not some Broadway poseur. :D

I thought the joke was that Axl has gone Mickey Rourke on us and that is hard on everyone’s eyes. Plus anyone who is almost sixty and still dresses like a teenager is asking to be ridiculed.

    59 is almost 60. 56 is almost 57-

People should dress like they decide to, not to impress others or adhere to someone else's standards.

56 is old for Axl. I am 41 yrs old and I look like I am 28. I am full of energy. Axl did not age well.

Remember Mick Jagger at 56? Jaggar in his fifties was more energetic than Axl was in his 40's. And this is a person that was/is a big drug addict.

Not only did Axl waste his talent away while he was secluded in Malibu all of those years, but his health as well. The guy didn't even bother hiring a personal trainer to get him in shape for the NITL tour.

Haha! "56 is old for Axl" :D

You are determined to paint a negative picture so there is no need even bother trying to have a normal or sane conversation with you.

FYI- Axl has a personal trainer, one of the best in LA. ;)

He's pretty much said so himself. And to it the fact that he is old now just makes things worse.

When he came back in the early 2000's he still had some if this energy. Unfortunately his voice was awful and he looked like a clown.

We'll see how much energy this old man really is capable of when he goes on tour with ACDC to promote their new album. It will be the most he has cared in 26 years.

    Source for that?

I don't think he looked like a "clown" or sounded bad.

You must be very young, age is a perspective depending on where you are personally.

56 is far from "old" ;)

"it will be the most he has cared in 26 years" is your assumption, not fact.

Because he gave a fuck back then.  He no longer feels anything for this band.

How would you know that?

It is funny watching this now. At the time this version of GNR was a dying band who were nothing compared to what they were a few years earlier (according to the press).

This version of the band is 'The Beatles" compared to what we have now. We wish we could get a little magic of this 1993 concert in some of the shows of the current band. Unfortunately, that is never going to happen.

    Great show.

lol Nobody gives a shit about ACDC in regards to Axl.

Not true- I am looking forward to ACDC with Axl.

While I don’t mind some CD stuff, I don’t know why anyone would rather hear Slash on the rather dull by comparison power chords of Chinese Democracy, as opposed to the killer riffing of Locomotive and Don’t Damn Me

Differing opinions- I happen to enjoy the CD songs and really enjoy how Duff and Slash changed the intro to Better using existing parts.
