Everybody loves Izzy BUT everybody knows Fortus is a much better guitar player. The band knows it, Axl, Slash and Duff know it and that's why Fortus is a KEY MEMBER of the band (like it or not, the guy is an absolute KEY MEMBER of the band)
The gigs are much better with Fortus, he is incredibly good, solid and the guy is a real showman, he really entertains the crowd... Izzy is a good songwriter, but he is no good onstage and can't really play the songs.
Plus, Fortus is an incredibly LEAD guitar player too and it's a great combo with Slash.
I love Izzy but come on... Fortus is a million miles ahead.

Nickelback were BIG in the US in the 2000's, especially around 2008. Of course they sold much more records than Nugnr, it's no surprise.

It killed the curiosity sales because it allowed people to listen to it and digest it ahead of time. People quickly realized what a big piece of turd it was and the word spread even more from there. At the end of the day, it all comes down to the music. IT SUCKED.
The GNR name alone is enough promotion to make it sell if the music is good. Had the old band gotten together in the early to mid 00's, and released an album, it would have been huge.

Yes, and I understand now why Fortus fits so well : he and Izzy sound almost the same. Fortus is much more skilled though. It's like he is an"updated" Izzy : faster, better, stronger.

Fortus is an absolute MASTER in term of songwriting, I just saw this video with the Dead Daisies, the man knows how to WRITE, he sounds like he is possessed by Jeff Beck or Lynyrd Skynyrd...
Richard is the "secret weapon" of Guns N' Roses.
