  1. I saw GNR literally fucktons of times between 2010-2016. Then I saw them again in 2018 before I joined the Army and hadn't since. I think taking a few years off was a good move, I've never been to a show beyond my first one where the setlist had so many songs I'd not heard live before. Yeah his vocals could be better, we've said that since 2011, and 2001 before that really, but I had an absolute blast. If tonight was my last ride, I can honestly say it was a great one.

Edit: But I'm still chasing There Was A Time

  2. Ten years ago we all got together and bought a spread in his local magazine. This year we might break 3 pages by midnight. It'd be funny if it wasn't kinda depressing.

Happy birthday Dexter, who certainly won't be checking this site for well wishes. But I always celebrate the birthday one day late to keep the Axl spirit.

Guess I truly am a hardcore GNR fan then. Somehow I hoped that there would have been another level still that would've been so deep in the rabbit hole that even I wouldn't have understood the references.

But I guess not. I didn't plan to become a GNR nerd. It just happened.

Exactly how I feel here. And I've only been active in the GNR online fanbase for a decade.  There's yeeeears of lore, which I wasn't around for, I've picked up over the past decade that would be enough to make a fuckin' Star Wars fan feel overwhelmed.

I've stated this before in other threads. However, changing the sound of the band to try to fit with the times isn't good. You dilute your brand and you don't play to your strengths.

Surely there's a difference between Dancing in the Street and Young American, no? How are you so sure they'd have been on the wrong side of it?
