It's 100% Brian May. The beginning and throughout the first half, he uses an octave pedal (which doubles his notes with a lower guitar tone). Then the lick with the stereo guitar also using an octave pedal (this time, with higher guitar tone) kicks in. And I believe the outro has also some Brian May licks complementing Axl's vocals.

Indeed he did. Would be cool if May confirms again that it's his work on it.

I definitely hear Brian's licks at the end too

I believe when Brian confirmed it was him on Catcher he mentioned Atlas as a song he laid a solo down for. During the forum chats in 2008, Axl said he was unsure Brian would appear on the final version of the song. And now hearing the track, the end of the solo with the overlaid guitars is 100% him. The rest of the solo, I’m not so sure is Brian.

The entire solo is definitely 100% Brian May. Fink couldn't play like that. Listen to some Queen. May playing like Slash?

Really like the Josh version of Riad. I think I prwfer Ron's solo on the album version (Buckets solo on the demo is a bit meandering and directionless), but as a whole, it's definitely more listenable than the album version, which just has too much going on. I can't quite put my finger on why I prefer the leaked demo version, but I definitely do.

    Wouldn't that have been Robin?

After years of listening to the first verse, I feel oddly satisfied knowing how the rest of the song goes now.

I'm confident this would dominate modern rock charts.

Some of the more calm parts remind me of The Smashing Pumpkins.

I started playing guitar when CD came out and I can now almost play a few of the Bucket and Bumblefoot solos. I will try to learn this song by ear

That's awesome dude. Does kind of sound like SP. Good luck learning it

You mean TWAT, right? Yeah, it leaked back then, obviously before the Hammerstein gigs, in May 2006. This one labeled 2001 I believe you meant June 2018, right?

Yes,oops. I have a few different versions of Better too though.. none of which are from 2005. It was released June 10th 2008 and the title says " 2001 demo".

    For Better:

    Darknemus leak Feb 2006

    Instrumental from March 2006

One from Feb 2007 that says" probably the same as HD" in the title

    June 18th 2008 Antiquiet

Then the BBF and DJ versions

No in 2005 a instrumental version of better leaked I can remember because an instrumental version of twat also leaked from the same source

I have a short and long version. Short is 6:01 long is 6:43 both dated 17/02/2006. Then instrumental long and short dated march 15th. March 27th 2006 the razz version. MSL leak from may 2007. Antiquiet version from June 18th 2008. One labeled 2001 leak dated June 10th 2008 and then the new one from Thursday which is a better quality of the razz?

Josh's drumming on TWAT is awesome. There's a "modern" UYI feel to it. He's got Matt's "human drum machine" quality but with more groove.

Brain is one of my favourite drummers but Josh sounds great on these demos. And these demos sound good overall - CD, The Blues, TWAT, Hardschool, Catcher, and Prostitute (3) should've been mixed and released asap with OMG and whatever else.

I prefer version 2 of Prostitute myself

It's 4:27am where I am and the first thing I'm going to do is apologize to @cpaxlvacy and @Pskihq92. I went to bed VERY cynical last night and was telling how fake Prostitute was.

Needless to say I just woke up and found out a ton of stuff leaked and it's VERY real :)

No harm done.  Glad you got the songs and are enjoying them.  I prefer version 2 and CD with Josh over Chinese Stew. CITR and The Blues are both beautiful and amazing. Riad is actually listenable now.. I like the solo.

Anybody expect any of the recent leaks to be featured on the next official album release?

    Sadly no

That's great to hear about IRS and CITR.

The version of Prostitute that was sent to me about 30 minutes ago is clearly a fan made edit.

Maybe there's another version I haven't heard. If people are happy with whatever out there, then that's cool :)

Idk how you can possibly think that is fan made

    Exactly.

I haven't heard CITR & IRS (no, do not send me links) but the Prostitute version isn't clear or high quality IMO. I honestly think people are getting really excited about RB2 remixes.

    Again, just my opinion.

There ARE versions of the CD tracks in very high quality. I just don't think these are it.

You need to listen to CITR.. no way i th is fake.  Brian's guitar is beautiful
