2006 GN'R was on a different level. I'd rank it above the NITL lineup tbh
They should've reunited then. Then they probably would've gotten Izzy then too. Axl, Slash, Duff, Izzy, Brain, Dizzy & Chris. That would've been a damn good lineup compared to now & Axl sounded pretty damn good then too.

Dirty Honey's whole EP was pretty damn good.

Franks drums live are just poorly mixed in my opinion. He also doesn't hit the snare N bass drum that hard and has zero feel with hi hats.

He sounded better before Slash n Duff came back so I dont know what the deal is now...

If Guns had the rights to Nightrain, then obviously Nightrain but it probably wont be in a cheap bottle and a shit wine. Also Shotgun Beer tool instead of Shotgun Blues, or So Fine Wine, Shacklers Rum. Kinda shitty names haha.

Had a chance to listen to Dirty Honey's EP last night. I thought it was pretty damn good, When I'm Gone & Rollin 7s are probably my 2 favorites, Heartbreaker has a cool riff, Down the Road sounds kind of like a Soundgarden song in a way & Scars Instrumentally has this Aerosmith Rocks Era kind of vibe. I personally really like it, and there's more potential with this band then Greta Van Fleet.

they were very good. My friend left more impressed with them than Slash and myles. He isn't a huge fan of slash like I am but we also went to the arena reunion run GNR did in 2017. I thought the band was average to good and the lead singer was impressive
I've been watching a few of there live performances on YT, and in my opinion the singer has a mix of Bon Scott & hints of Steven Tyler and Chris Cornell, the guitar was obviously inspired by Angus n Slash, and the rest of the band doesn't seen to bad, but there isn't noticeable special about the bassist N drummer. I do think there better then Greta Van Fleet though.

This kinda off topic, but just heard a new band on the radio the other day called Dirty Honey, heard they opened for Slash this year. If anyone saw them were they good?

Wish Brain would come back... Can't believe Frank has been filling in for him for 13 years!

What I'd Like to see on a GNR album would be 15 songs:
5 CD outtakes with Slash n Duff
5 Songs from the mid 90s sessions or left over Velvet Revolver ideas
(Ex. Ain't Goin Down, Machine Gun)
5 new written songs

You've mentioned the Terminator thing more than a few times. That's what we're all hoping for but there's no evidence to support it happening yet.
Yes I do know there's no evidence at all supporting that idea, and there's no evidence going toward a new GNR album or EP. It's just fun to toy around with the idea of a new song or something new, even without any evidence pointing toward an actual real thing.
-
I'm still thinking were getting a new song with Terminator or a possible release of the soundtrack to the pinball machine with new songs.
-
If it's an EP with some of covers and new songs possibly this could be a potential tracklist:
1. The General or another unreleased CD song
2. Black Hole Sun
3. Atlas Shrugged
4. Wichita Lineman
5. Better (Re- Recorded w/ new intro)
6. The Seeker
7. Hardschool
It's not my ideal tracklisting, I'd rather have a new album with no covers, but it seems they love those cover songs so it would sense if they ended up on an ep. With better it would turn people on to CD again, or new fans since Better is the only CD song on NITL that sounds different and better than the actual studio version (except Axl and Slashs Solo)
-
Personally I dont think a new GNR album would take just as long as CD, they know fans are waiting for a new album and how much could they tour there GH with Slash n Duff for. Axl has his material written and recorded all it needs is Slash n Duff to revamp it a bit, I'd say expect a new album in 1-2 years or sooner. I also think we'll be getting a new song for Terminator Dark Fate, but only time will tell.
-
Just saying if they dont finish recording a new album by the end of next year (not saying it will be released next year) I bet Slash would leave GNR again.
-
Still think its gonna be along the lines of velvet revolver mixed with CD & Illusions kinda sound but with a "modern twist" if that makes sense.
-
Well we all know how money hungry Team Brazil is and probably Axl, maybe there worried about with an album release wont get the "hearing" it deserves, since let's face it not too many people buy albums anymore, eventhough the album would be huge since it would be the 1st "real" GNR record with Slash n Duff in 28 years, but the success wont last for that long even with a tour. This idea may be shit but it's just a quick thought, I'd say drop a new single every or every other week, let's say 12 songs on a new album, 12 singles 12 weeks, the last single will also coincide with CD/ Vinyl release of the full album for people who actually want to have the album in there hands, while only the singles would be on iTunes, Spotify etc.. Typing this kinda makes no sense but it would possibly increase album sales, and get there singles #1 on the charts with a new song every week.

Personally I think CD would've worked better as a more acoustic album, This I Love would've worked better as a acoustic song then what we got in my opinion, there a cool cover version on YT of it, same with Catcher in the Rye.

I'm hoping they put out a new album next year, tour for a year or 2, take a break while Axl works on new material and Slash goes back to the conspirators for a year, comeback together and do another album.
-
Well the band may surprise us by playing these songs in October or shit could leak by then "all we need is just a little Patience".
-
It's also weird how a guy who was known for stopping shows, showing up late in almost his whole career haven't had any of those incidents occur in the past 3 years besides getting sick at a show. All I gotta say is that W. Axl Rose is one confusing motherfucker.

My friend who designs my own album covers and myself can help with the artwork, maybe contribute an art piece.
What's your albums called / band? name. Does it sound like GNR? Just wondering

If they did reunite in 2006, Slash, Duff & Possibly Izzy would've probably re recorded Chinese or re work it with Axl.
