Fortus has no stage presence..
He wrote the bridge to Better. Also if he has no stage presence where is he? hiding under the stage or behind the curtians?
'You must also think Pete Townsend has no stage presence or the billion other famous rock stars.
Also Slash does the exact same shit

To quote you - 'this is a total crock of shit'!
Who are you to say Matt is not a perfect fit, Gilby not a great songwriter or Izzy did not want to tour!?!?
As for Iz....I am still amazed how you've missed it - the loot was nor split equaly - unless Izzy told YOU otherwise. Which would mean you have exclusive news.
All your info is based upon your personal opinion without any facts to prove otherwise, so this conversation is pretty much waste of time.
As I said, 'you heard some UYI bootlegs', others of us lived through AFD/UYI era, so you will never be able to understand.
You can always pretend Ashab is great player, Bumblehead is great songwriter, or Frank is the greatest drumer on greatest cd ever made - that is your universe. Your knowledge of 1985-93 era is based upon 'few bootlegs' and that is why you will never understand why post '93 guys were hired hands. I am sorry for you as Ax would say, but history can not be rewinded.
Do yourself a favour and see on ytb Rio '91, Paris '92, Buenos Aires '93, Saskatoon '93, Buenos Aires '92, Tokyo '92..., you will get the point why second keyboard wasn't needed and why Gilby and Matt were waaaaaaaaaaayyy better fit for the band,
Btw., what is the deal with you repeating 'Izzy did not want to tour' over and over again, when he said openly why he isn't there!? Why don't you trust him?
Does the name Teddy Zig Zag ring a bell? lmao.
Hyperbole is very strong with this one

If he was a alive gnr could have gotten John Fucking Bonham to play and people would still complain and call him a shitty drummer etc.

I love how everyone here thinks they know whats best for GNR.
If this lineup was truly bad then Not In THis Lifetime Tour would have grossed exactly 1 dollar
I guarantee some people who say this lineup is shit didn't even go to 1 show and based all their assumptions on lame cell phone videos.
If this lineup was truly awful then no one would go to the shows period. The fact that this tour has been so successful is because everyone who goes to the shows has a good time listens to great music and gets rid of their troubles for 2 hours. People just like to project their own drama and they are mad because its not exactly how they want it

Because I waited 22 years for 'reunion' and instead I got the band whose best show was 30% of UYI's line up era worst show! While Slash can play all guitars - Frank can not drum in any half serious band period.
Guns N Roses are not a band that need 2 keyboards. Dizzy playing stuff like Locomotive, Breakdown or other UYI material are as far as keyboards are needed.
This line up has 0 creativity. Ferrer and Fortus are not what Slash and Duff need. If not Izzy, bring back Gilby. Sorum by all means.
TSI sound was perfect fit for GNR. It was a great record given what it was.
Other than that. There is a reason why no GNR ever happend after Iz left.
Marc Canter explained here a while back how and why each album came about and why each member was vital for the album

It would be cool if all 5 men could meet up. Alone. No assistants. No independent staff from each man. Meeting in a comfortable and relaxed setting would be best. Neutral territory. A recording studio. Maybe a place like that would not be best, but a home which is more loose and comfortable. And send us fans some pictures on their social media.
Yeah and in 2 months time this board would still be complaining about how old and slow they are. Give me a break

I want an album that heavily features Frank & Melissa, a whole load of Pitman cameos, plus Slash playing backup for Robin, Bucket, Fortus & Tobias, simply so I can relish in how much it will piss people off. And the icing on the cake will be that the casuals won't even notice the difference.
The Salt would be amazing.

Izzy and Steven could come back tomorrow release 2 albums and a dvd and people would still complain.
At this point give me an album and I am good

Simply put, in his view, leaks/unreleased tracks are ok among his circle of friends, but not the wider fan-base.
This is true. The takedowns used to come from 'UziSuicidalLlc' which is his Twitter handle.
I think he has a completely different its not UziSuicidal anymore its still active but I don't think its his main thing anymore

How anyone in his right mind can prefer Frank's bulldozer drums over this maestro is beyond me.
Ask Slash and Duff

not really. THEY are PLAYING all the songs Izzy wrote/cowrote in GNR catalogue, as Axl was incapable of writting anything half decent in the last 26 years and was not on speaking terms with anyone for like 23 years. So you can say that noone in GNR lineup was capable of doing anything decent.
As for what Izzy has, nobody knows for the only thing he released was that Dogs barking song and Penny something.
Madagascar and TWAT are amazing songs.

Nothing wrong with him? LOL
ok...let's keep him i like the out of rhythm hammers and extra fills and non conducive proficiency on estranged/rocket queen/brownstone/don't cry/its so easy etc etc
i think it's the way axl wants him to do it the other guys just passive
Frank is the WORST drummer the band has had
I think your talking about Lars Ulrich. I don't think you have ever been in a band. The other people tell the drummer what they want and he does it. If he was doing all this extra stuff he would have been long gone. THe stuff your talking about is what Primus does there. Slash, Axl and Duff want him in the band thats why he is there
Just now, EvanG said:Frank?
No a guy who knows how a band works.

they're ok...but he was never part of them so its a dead horse pun intended
no Frank has to go...no question Sorum, Brain, Don Henly, Freese whoever - Frank is a mockery of the band and music
Frank has been in the Band for over 10 fucking years. There is absolutely nothing wrong with him. He does everything the Appetite, UYI, CD songs the way THE BAND Slash, Duff and Axl want him to do lol Plus he gets along with the rest of the guys and there is photographic evidence. Sorum doesn't want it he politely declined. Brain has his thing with Primus. Josh is busy.
Frank is the most stable Drummer the band has had

I think a good compromise could be like what the Eagles did for the History of The Eagles Tour with Bernie Leadon. So you don't have get rid of 4tus have him play with Izzy
Divide the Sets like thisSet 1: Early GNR/Appetite have Izzy come out for that whole set
Intermission
Set 2 UYI, CD and other Appetite Stuff have Izzy come out for Nightrain and SCOM
Encore Patience, Madagascar, Seeker and any other stuff
Then have Izzy come out for PC with the rest of the band
Adler is never coming back. he blew his bridges/. But if you want to incorporate Izzy for a tour leg or the whole thing that would be a good start. Rest of the band stays the same

Is it Duff or Izzy that won't take part in the reunion tour because they're not getting paid enough?
Also I am pretty sure that Duff is the reason Axl and Slash are friends and in the same band again. Duff is probably the biggest reason Slash and Axl buried the hatchet

Izzy contributed to a lot more than just Appetite.. Are you forgetting about LIES and the Illusions albums? How does whatever touring anyone did outside of Gn'R effect any part of what they deserve in Gn'R? That makes no sense at all. Whatever Slash and Duff have done with Loaded and Snakepit doesn't have anything to do with Gn'R. Izzy is just as much an important part of the Gn'R legacy as the other guys. Guns N' Roses hasn't released any noteworthy material without him. You also mentioned the other guys releasing albums and make it sound like Izzy hasn't released anything. He has released about 11 albums of material since Guns N' Roses.. Probably more than all the others combined. Close to it anyway.
Anyway, whatever they did during the 23 year hiatus really doesn't have any bearing on things prior to the reunion. Axl and Slash may be the face of the band but they wouldn't have went anywhere without Izzy. He was certainly far more valuable and worth more than Duff lol...
I am pretty sure CD is certified Platinum in many countries . Also yes Izzy has released 11 albums. Buckethead has released over 200. If GNR takes things even farther then CD and continue in that direction and get even more ambitious how would Izzy fit that vision? Yes he contributed but he hasn't done anything of note since. has not toured since 93 and hasn't released anything that charted. I take substance over quantity. I don't think that based on his recent releases that he would fit in the direction that the band would like to take.

thanks i know how to read between the lines - they didn't want him to sing and hes so media shy they they take advantage of that by passively throwing him under the bus just like they've been doing in NITL
"I think he wanted to come in, like, 'Let's go out on tour right away! I've got eight songs, let's go! We'll do some covers — Duff and I will sing!' [laughs] But Matt[Sorum] and Slash and I were more like, 'If we're gonna do this, we're gonna have to do it so it's amazing.' I've heard a lot of fans saying, 'Why don't you have Izzy in the band now?' Well, this isn't cut out for him —
The facts are that Izzy has made an unreasonable demand and if he was part of the NITL it was so important that he show up all the time and if he bailed they would be screwed.

"I've heard a lot of fans saying, 'Why don't you have Izzy in the band now?' Well, this isn't cut out for him — he's more of a guy who will be here one day and be gone the next, and you won't know where he's gone to. But he added a new energy that we probably needed at that point." "You have to understand our relationship with Izzy," Slash explains. "Izzy's always been the guy who's sort of there and sort of not there. Duff and I have seen Izzy periodically" From 2003.

cause VR sold him out
Or he didn't want to be apart of it because he doesn't like huge arena/stadium gigs hence bailing after 1 leg of the UYI tour? The last major full concert he played in a stadium contest was the 93 gigs for like 4 shows.
-
2 minutes ago, double talkin jive mfkr said:
its his band wiener
Explain then why Izzy hasn't played a full concert since 93 or done anything besides the JUJU hounds and some solo stuff. Also I am pretty sure it's Axls band considering he is the lead singer and has appeared on every single release.
-
As soon as GNR got really huge in the 90s Izzy bailled. What exactly has he done since then in terms of major recording and touring. ?
Slash had SMCK, Axl had the Chinese tour and the Vegas residences + a live album ,Duff had Loaded and whatever else he had going on. Hell you can even say Adler has been way more active touring and released a solo record of his own.
Out Of All the AFD5 Izzy basically hasn't been seen since 1994 during the JuJu Hounds with some special guest appearances during the Chinese Era. It's pretty clear that Izzy does what ever the fuck he feels like doing. So when was the last full concert he played. From Setlist.Fm it says that the last full concert Izzy Played was September 1993 in Japan with the JuJuhounds and that was like what 26 years ago? Yes he contributed to AFD and was a huge part of that but saying he deserves the same as Slash/Duff/Axl who have been touring and recording heavily during their time away from each other. and the last time he performed in public in any capacity was 2012 for like 4 songs. Also what would happen if he bailed during the middle of the NITL Tour
