    Paging @Wagszilla.......

    I have been paged.

New GNR is an attempted thoughtful recreation of the original lineup. The punk bassist that gels well with the punk pop drummer. McKagan/Adler and Stinson/Freese. Easy parallels.

Just like with original GNR and new GNR, when Freese left, something valuable was lost in the chemistry of the band. Was something gained? Debatable. I’d say yes, but more was lost than gained. Another debate, another day...

Josh’s fills and outros are heavenly. Thank god for these latest leaks that we finally get to hear them. Load up TWAT and take a listen to the outro. The drum version of Bucketheads solo... If you listen to Brains work it’s dumbed down and you can feel him being tentative because he’s a little out of his depth.

TL;DR: Dig em both but Josh is the better drummer by far and better drummer for Guns. Josh’s style lends towards the rock-oriented stuff and Brain lends towards the big arena rock stuff (just like Sorum). Just him away from ballads. “Good ol Brain... bash the hell out of a love song”.

  2. I mean it is what it is.

But rolling MyGNRForum into Downzy, LLC. would prevent your person from being the sole subject of litigation, i.e.: Gn’R could mount a legal case (lol) and sue for damages but only the corporate entity not your own personal assets.

I would absolute love to see their case outside of C&D fearmongering.

    GNR is an embarrassment.

    • Shanklers Revenge-  Buckethead likely listened to Shackler's on the album and thought to himself "Look how they've slaughtered my boy"

    Perfect review!

    My thoughts exactly.

    • I'm Sorry-  Nice and heavy.  Pretty close to the album version.

    Close but no cigar.

    More butchery.

This version is way better with the raw guitars and heavier synth.

It has a more of an uptempo, easy-listening, and diverse feel to it.

    100/10.

  4. The leaks sound incredible.

I'd say from Rough Mixes CD #1-#3, excluding material that made Chinese Democracy, Axl has 5 really strong cuts and a couple of very interesting B-Sides.

The only legitimate points Bob Ezrin has is that these aren't always highly commercial, mainstream songs. They lack big solos, the themes are more mature, and Axl's lyrics can be alienating.

But Madagascar, Prostitute, The Blues and the new songs like Atlas, Perhaps, and Oklahoma belong in the conversation of the top of Gn'R's Pantheon.

It doesn't matter, criticism be damned, this all should've been released a long time ago.

    It's a shame.

Hope we get vocals on the instrumental tracks and an official release somewhere shortly down the pike.
