Great point there, I can't hear any sitar on the leaked songs that would mean something more is coming, Atlas possibly,.

On the other hand I always thought that the Porto Alegre & Buenos Aires soundcheck was the same song and It's pretty safe to assume it because It was soundchecked around the same dates I think, don't know why but I get Oklahoma vibes there

it seems like they did 2 songs in Porto Alegre because clip 1 and 2 sound like they are different

After listening to the leaked tracks & the mysterious soundchecks of Porto Alegre, Buenos Aires from last year and the Bucharest one from this year I could not find any similarities

Could there be something more coming or were just jams??

the one in Bucharest was The Garden

The 'as good as November Rain' quote is real, but was second hand.

"With 18 songs, the group's next album [...] which will be released in June [...] is a collection of songs, which, in Axl's opinion, are as good as 'November Rain'. Among them 'Madagascar', included in the show on Sunday. The CD will include a tribute to John Lennon [Catcher in the Rye], and another [song] about child abuse." (O Globo, 01/16/01)

and this could've meant TIL or SOD to be as good as November Rain IMO

Yes he did, in an interview back in 2001. He said the collection of songs he had recorded for CD were as good as November Rain and specifically mentioned one song about Child Abuse, ie - The General

please point out where Axl said it

The only people melting down are you lot because someone dared to point out the fuckin obvious.

Axl himself said that Madagascar, Catcher and The General were as good as November Rain.

Hearing all those tracks now with this latest release makes that statement look insane.

first shitty opinions then made up things Axl said

If people are so confident that these tracks good they wouldn't care if someone shits on them.

And since when did GNR fans become such a bunch of sensitive ninnies? My god.

Whatever. Enjoy the songs about kiddie fiddling.

1st statement, if someone told you Estranged or November Rain is dog shit would you care

2nd statement, random you were just thinking of some sort of insult but "Ninnies" WTF is that

3rd statement, Child abuse isn't just that Axl had Phyisical abuse (correct me if im wrong) and kiddie fiddling what are you? 10 i dont know anybody over the age of 16 who would use the word "Kiddie fiddling"

overall, your just boring and you dont understand deep meaning which means you hate Bohiemian Rhapsody because those lyrics would probably be "Cringe" to you

You guys are hilarious. This isn't some kind of deep artistic statement.

I can only imagine the reaction from Slash and Duff when Axl was out of sight after they heard The General.

Everything Axl turned out from the CD era just reeks of a guy that had too much smoke blown up his ass and got notions that he was some kind of visionary.

And the way this release is being buried on the b-side of a vinyl only release just confirms my suspicions that Axl knows this is garbage.

well no and it isn't garbage because its the longest track on the 7". just because its a b side doesn't mean its rubbish becasue patience was a B side and so was SCOM on the November Rain 7"

Yes because that's what the world needs right now, a song about child abuse from an 80s rock band, sung by a 6 year old posing as the victim.

Jesus, do you people even live in the real world.

I can't wait to see the general public's reaction to this stinker of a song.

It'll be as popular as Jimmy Saville at a kid's birthday party.

so Axl cant write on him getting abused by his stepfather as a child

The lyrics to The General have to be one of the most cringeworthy,  awkward things I've ever had the displeasure to listen to.

Imagine blaring that in your car.

    "Daddy don't
    I swear I won't
I'll be good from now on
    And I'm awful, sorry"

    What the actual fuck.

so a song about child abuse is meant to have  Paradise city like lyrics. you would be a shit musician then

not doing what again? theres plenty of ways for someone to fake a song these days.  remember baz saying the general had the heaviest sounding vocals he has ever heard from axl with this slow doom metal sound?  this song didnt sound like that or have those heavy vocals.  i know if slash had done guitar work it would have changed but the vocals are not heavy

loads of ppl thought it was AI and fake and it was determined to be real thats all. also Baz was probably drunk when he said it imo. also the lyrics are heavy

Anyone remember that story of how TB members had to turn off Axls cable to prevent him from seeing a news story about him on tv, or something to that effect? How hard do you think Fernando is trying to make sure Axl didn’t find out before the show..

Probably the most ever cuz these were like Axls babies. We might hear Axls worst rant yet if he found out
