Buckethead featured heavily on the album that eventually came out.  The only song written after he left was Scraped (by far the worst song on the record).

Buckethead got the credits without having to pretend he was in a real band after 2003.

Are you sure Scraped was written after he left?  He plays the solo at the end of the song.

everyone seems to forget that absurd sounds pretty much exactly the same as the 2006 version with bumblefoot structure wise.  so it's not unlikely that hardskool went through the similar changes around the same time as absurd.
