  1. Not really a physical/acting quirk, more like lyrical quirks.

i saw people talking about how important or not Izzy is as a songwriter to the band, so I looked at Izzy's solo discography.

And with the lyrics, I find it hilarious how much he and Axl are on opposite ends with how they deal with things/people that aggravate them. Izzy's lyrics have those things hit him for a short time, maybe he bites back a bit, then the event bounces or rolls off. His lyrics are short and he isn't going to spend more time on it than he wants to. While Axl's lyrics show this romantic that gets into deep turmoil over getting heartbroken, these really intense emotions that dig into him.

    Example of Izzy lyrics:

"Bye bye, you betcha! So long!
Bye bye, you betcha! Don't call!"

"It's nothing new, you saw it coming.
It's nothing new, don't act surprised."

"Go to hell! Go to hell! Go to hell!
Don't wish me well! Don't wish me well! Don't wish me well!"

Example of Axl lyrics on Chinese Democracy:

"So, if she's somewhere near me, I hope to God she hears me
There's no one else could ever make me feel I'm so alive
I hoped she'd never leave me, please God, you must believe me
I've trudged the universe and found myself within her eyes"

"I WOULD DO AAAAAAAAANYTHIIIING FOR YOOOOOOOUUUUU! THERE WAS A TIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIME!"

    "
You like to hurt me, you know that you do
You like to think in some way that it's me and not you
But we know that isn't true
You like to have me jump and be good, but I don't want to do it
You don't know why I won't act the way you think I should
You thought they'd make me behave and submit, submit
    What were you thinking?
    'Cause I don't forget
You don't know why I won't give in
Hell with the pressure, I'm not caving in
You know that I got under your skin
You sold your soul but I won't let you win
You talk too much, you say I do
Difference is nobody cares about you
    "

It's amazing that these opposites came together and had a period of time where they were friends working together to make songs.

And this dynamic even shows up when in that 2001 interview where Izzy talked about going to Axl's house.

"And I go up and he's got security gates, cameras, walls, all this shit, you know. So I'm ringing the buzzers, and eventually somebody comes and takes me up and there he is. He's like, ''Hey, man! Glad to see you!' Gives me a big hug and shows me round his house. It was great.

"Then, I don't know, probably a month later, one night he calls me [and] we got into the issue of me leaving Guns N' Roses. I told him how it was on my side. Told him exactly how I felt about it and why I left. And man, that's the last time I've talked to the guy!

"But, I mean he had a fucking notepad. I could hear him [turning the pages] going, 'Well, ah, you said in 1982... blah, blah, blah...' And I'm like, what the fuck - 1982? He was bringing up a lot of really weird old shit. I'm like, whatever, man. But that's the last time I talked to him.
    "

It's like the attitude in their own lyrics. Izzy going "whatever" and it bounces off him, and Axl's the one who prepared a notepad with all these things he wants to say, talking about 1982 before Guns N Roses even existed, because he's got to get all those feelings out.

  2. I should watch more footage to confirm, but so far, I think:

On flat ground, when facing the audience, Izzy often prefers to have his left foot in front. His left leg also does most of the bobbing along to the music. I think Gilby is similar as well, but for some solos, sometimes he pushes his right side out, or has his right side face the audience.

While Slash seems to prefer his legs side by side, and sometimes wide.

I haven't figured out Duff's leg preference yet. At first I thought he was the same as Izzy, but then I saw footage of him promoting his solo album with his right leg out in front quite a lot.

I haven't seen enough footage that show Fortus's legs to figure out Fortus's leg preference either.

Buckethead seems to prefer left foot in front. He doesn't really do the up and down bobbing or stomp-like leg movement that Izzy does, more like he shifts his weight forwards and back. His feet also keep low to the ground when moving around.

I haven't seen much footage of Ashba yet. Possibly a side-by-side foot preference?

  3. I can still hear clipping occasionally after I've turned it off (maybe my laptop speakers are just bad since it's an old one), but if you're on a laptop, make sure to turn off any of that weird speaker-audio-enhancer software that's bundled with laptops. Maybe the mix will still sound terrible (i don't have a good ear for that stuff), but it will make it sound less bad.

(e.g. my laptop has this dolby audio setting that was automatically enabled. It's different for each laptop depending on what was bundled with it.

Top is the official General recorded from youtube with it enabled.

Middle is the official General release from youtube with it disabled.

    Bottom was the leaker's file.)

If you're listening to it on Spotify, make sure to find the normalisation setting and turn it off. Some Swifties were complaining the Taylor's versions were mixed terribly, but then after finding that setting and turning it off, it sounded better.

Great job on encasing the "oh hi Mark" guy in the walls!

Did he sing anything on live performance? Maybe that could indicate something.

That's a good idea! From what I saw from a filmed video, Duff doesn't seem to be near a microphone most of the time. Just rocking that bass throughout.

That same guy is even suing Tina Turner, and she's dead! (and a whole bunch of other people too.) I wonder what's up with him.

    edit:

a few people on this person's sue list across his various court cases...

Britney Spears, Red Hot Chili peppers, Jeff Bezos, George W Bush,  Elon Musk, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Joe Biden, George W Bush, Ringo Srarr, Steven Spielberg, Ringo Starr, Mick Jagger, Billy Joel, Shania Tawin, Jay Leno, Ford motor co, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, Alice Cooper, Hillary Clinton, Elizabeth Holmes, Keith Richards

I think that dude needs help... I hope he doesn't lose all the money he has and then is unable to get help for himself afterwards...

  6. I'm not signing up for PACER ( https://pacer.uscourts.gov/ ) to see the documents for real, since you have to pay to use its services ( https://pacer.uscourts.gov/pacer-pricing-how-fees-work )
    ,

but it appears there's some sort of movement going on in the case.

    https://www.pacermonitor.com/public/case/51347800/Benzova_v_Guns_N_Roses_et_al

And there's this other one, beginning october 24th 2023, where Kat is the defendant and GnR people sued her, but it seems to have paused at October 27th

    https://www.pacermonitor.com/public/case/51083077/Gundam_Touring_Services_US_LLC_v_Katarina_Benzova

" 2:23-cv-09538-FMO-E NOTICE AND ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF SERVICE of Summons and Complaint returned Executed filed by Plaintiff Katarina Benzova, upon Defendant Gundam Touring Services U.S. LLC acknowledgment sent by Plaintiff on 11/15/2023, answer due 12/6/2023. Acknowledgment of Service signed by Colin Hoag, Terri Scupen. (Rosenblatt, Zach) "

👀 one last drama before the release of the perhaps vinyl!

There's the courtlistener, freelaw, and recap projects. so if someone else participating in those projects has bought the documents, and uploaded it, you might be able to see it for yourself

    https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/67998002/katarina-benzova-v-guns-n-roses/

    https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/67910567/gundam-touring-services-us-llc-v-katarina-benzova/

I wonder what the complaint GnR had against Benzova was. The pacermonitor link says it was only six pages long.

I can only get this image glimpse before getting paywalled by that unofficial site:

    The General - https://open.spotify.com/track/4kXbOjC3XfBpFR3zbWbHZv

(Redirects to Spotify main menu; NOT a “404” error)

    Perhaps - https://open.spotify.com/album/2CoWZzMwNzNI49Ip5IvSbb

    (“Perhaps” single listing)

At the very least, TG is in the database, it’s just the matter of them pulling the trigger and having it go live.

BUT, what’s interesting to me (at least) is Spotify coded “Perhaps” as an “album” and TG is showing as a “track.” Has me wondering: will there be more than just one song dropping? 👀 Maybe TG is just part of a larger drop…

    👀

interesting. how did you find the link for the General?

There's a track version of Perhaps too.

    https://open.spotify.com/track/1xl3tncP1hSU9EPkIY535i

The perhaps album has one track called perhaps, and the other singles are like that too (e.g. Hard Skool is a one song "album" https://open.spotify.com/album/2UWJ1UJybSEmQZ87lQHmp0 ) maybe they'll put the general with the perhaps "album"?  We might not get new single artwork for the General if they group it with Perhaps though, so I hope it isn't grouped!

Looks like we will see what Axl's side will say soon enough.

Watching the documentary, what was missing to me in her telling the story was the emotion. The distress that she claims she's still feeling. It's good to watch the whole documentary and see how the other women tell their stories. They are absolutely credible as they get emotional (without streaming tears or other exaggeration) and you can see how they walk through their ordeals again. In that Sheila's case it was like she was telling someone else's story, like it was a script. It's hard to describe here but when you watch it for yourself you might see what I mean. I'm also an abuse survivor and no matter how much "work" I did, I still get emotional and even physically sick when remembering things again.

    :(

There's a part where this discussion has extended beyond whether Kennedy seems reliable or not, and into whether other people reading will feel like shit, because they're going to be wondering if they're going to believed when recounting their own story to others, because their personality inclines them to act in a different way emotionally while recounting it.

  10. Let's pretend Axl's lawyer's TMZ statement is completely true:

Gutman continues ... "Though he doesn’t deny the possibility of a fan photo taken in passing, Mr. Rose has no recollection of ever meeting or speaking to the Plaintiff, and has never heard about these again fictional allegations prior to today."

Finally, he finishes with this ... "Mr. Rose is confident this case will be resolved in his favor."

So a complete denial, nope I don't remember her at all.

That brings up the question on what exactly did happen on that alleged day? We don't know, but if her entire story is fictitious, then why did she mention other people like Rachtman being there on that night, that could instantly deny her ever meeting Axl, making Axl's statement true for that night, and making her story seem not credible?

If only part of it is fictitious but someone was there to witness Axl and Kennedy meeting, then why did Axl's camp quickly respond with a statement completely denying everything, instead of keeping quiet or more vague? Then that would make Axl's side seem not credible either.

  11. All this talk on whether she wanted it or not,

but what about the other side as well? What did Axl do, to make sure he clearly obtained consent throughout the encounter, and none of it was because she was coerced or felt scared or unable to refuse?  Even he obtained consent for a few things or one thing earlier, consent can be withdrawn at any time, and consent to one sex act doesn't necessarily mean consent to all of them.

The answer is nothing, because according to the TMZ claim, Axl never met her!? So there's this massive blank space on Axl's perspective of the story, other than "the entire thing never happened".

I reckon the case will be thrown out. Her story isnt consistant. She is on video saying it was consentual. It becomes a he say she say in court and Axl has video of her saying it was consentual.

Unless it's a different video, her saying she thought it was consensual isn't her saying it in an approval tone, it sounds more like a disappointed tone, as in "i can't believe I considered this shocking thing was consensual sex" tone. Someone posted the video earlier, but here's specifically the quote so people can hear how it's supposed to come across when spoken aloud.

At least that's what I think she was going for.
