Wow. What an intense childhood he had. I've read about his family background from his interview or other articles, but being hit by a car and his stepdad hitting two kids is new to me and absolutely horrible. This thread is an interesting one, thanks to @Dexterscollar (great name, btw).

I have mixed feelings. While I'm happy for them to be on a big stage and get media exposure, the thought of the critics and the reviews depresses me already. Also, it's frustrating to think that the younger generations that doesn't know GNR might be disappointed with their performance. I know I’m overthinking, but tbh I want them to kill it as a fan.

Matt must have heard Izzy's side of the story and I wanted to read that in his book. Maybe he couldn't write it because it would have ended his friendship with Izzy.
