I was watching argentina 02 the other day, is zig zag the fat keyboardist? Also that show is maybe the best I've seen Axl voice sounds great. As much as I hate to say it he has definately lost a little something in 14 years. I think he should do It's Alright or Dust in the Wind again before NR too, maybe a CD will have a track with Axl on piano we don't know about. Can't wait to find out

I only caught part of the interview I guess Axl called in. He said the show is scheduled for Spt. 23rd, album is definately going to be out this year, Izzy was supposed to do Paradise the 17th with them but left because he had to wake up early. He also said he had a bunch of after parties scheduled Izzy did not attend. It's about time the new band does an LA gig!

Go to Hotels.com I stayed at the Sheraton in Times Square over spring break ontime for $40 a night during the week. If you are willing and that is a fucking nice ass hotel if you are willing to stay someplace shittier you can probabaly do it for $25-30 bucks

HE did try to do that in 2001/2002. but using he same old setlist over and over at each concert. IF Axl wants to do the same thing now. He NEEDS to diversify the setlist with new material and UYI as well; (im talking about Dont Cry, Dont Damn me, The garden, garden of eden, yesterdays, locomotive...) :krider:

'Don't Damn Me' was never played once with the old band and other than 'Yesterdays', the others you listed each only got a handful of plays live.

Setting yourself up for disapointment if this is what you are looking for now.

Those songs won't be played, I would love to hear Perfect Crime of Double talkin Jive but I know only huge hits/ covers from Illusions will be on there. There will be less from AFD replaced by more from CD this time around maybe a little longer show who knows.

After scanning this forum everyday for news with no results for since the small I.R.S. leak I was amazed when Axl showed up at the Korn party out of the blue, now with all these appearances and leaks radio play and othe hype etc. If this tour doesn't happen barring a disaster I would be amazed. For a while I began to think CD would never surface. Now I am 93% positive I'll have it in my hot little hands by August. Look for gnr to recieve awards/ play a big event Super Bowl or Awards show (not that Rio isn't huge).

If its a 13 song one disc album, I want no covers... if its a three disc set like some rumors state, I wouldn't mind up to two cover songs. That is only if its this supposed three disc thing... GNR does do cover songs well, and if I'm getting 30+ songs, I wouldn't mind 2 of them to be covers.

I would much rather have a 14 song album with 1 kickass cover tune like we all know they can turn out over a 13 song album of original material.
