  1. That's actually what I think happened and thought happened when I watched the Look Away documentary, although it may not have happened quite how she described.
  2. Speaking as someone with Bipolar Disorder, although he now claims not to have that, I would be howling at the moon crazy on that list. Just the champagne and coke alone would probably send me over the edge. Assuming that whatever he does/does not have going on is some kind of mood or personality disorder (and it might not be), that would be a triggering cocktail in most people with an underlying condition in those categories and in my case, it is highly unlikely that I would remember any of it the next day, either.
  3. I have played Marilyn Manson since, although less frequently, because I feel so bloody guilty now everytime I play it. It is a shame because he had some right bangers.
  4. Yes, all of her versions are very inconsistent but I am still not fully convinced nothing happened between them, either.... yet. I might end up completely on his side but I am not comfortably there yet. I don't want to be biased in his favour just because I like him. That does not feel healthy to me. I will see how it plays out.
  5. I wondered that about Adderall. I can't recall it being a thing in 1989, not that I would have necessarily known because I was 13 at the time.
  6. This is what I assumed had happened after the documentary. I find it very strange no one did anything to settle the allegations made. It doesn't make whatever happened between them right but for business reasons alone, if I had been involved in GNR I would have been asking someone if it had been appropriately dealt with. It boggles my mind.
  7. I am not reading anything. I am refuting this statement: "Though he doesn't deny the possibility of a fan photo taken in passing, Mr Rose has no recollection of ever meeting or speaking to the plaintiff, and has never heard about these fictional allegations prior to today. Mr Rose is confident this case will be resolved in his favour."
  8. I like Axl but I knew he had acknowledged it and connecting a Sky made documentary to a Sky news site in the mind is not a big leap. His statement via his lawyers is a bit disingenuous, because a) he knew and b) even without finding the source I never believed he didn't know about the memoir or the documentary. Sky reached out to him - therefore he knew. That said, it doesn't make him guilty.
  9. Ok, so I found what I think is the source. I must have read it post documentary here: https://news.sky.com/story/steven-tyler-axl-rose-and-lots-and-lots-of-others-rock-stars-and-the-abuse-hidden-in-plain-sight-12403960 but I still remember a narration quite vividly somewhere. I can't find the narration so can only assume it was the Sky article that accompanied it, which says: Representatives for Tyler did not respond to requests for comment. Sky News also contacted Axl Rose's representatives, and legal counsel Douglas Mark Esq at Mark Music & Media Law, PC responded: "I can inform you that any allegations of physical or sexual abuse against Mr Rose, whether by 'Sheila Kennedy' or anybody else, are false and unsubstantiated."
  10. I will look because I am not prone to misremembering facts.
  11. It was at the end of the Look Away documentary on Sky. I will try to see if it is on Now TV later and record it. It was basically someone saying they reached out to him for comment and his solicitor (lawyer) said that anything Sheila Kennedy says is untrue (I am paraphrasing). I do have a Now TV account so will see if I can record it on my phone later if it is still available.
  12. It is a very strange interview. I have seen it twice, albeit quite a long time ago now, and it is a different account to other versions, although the lead up to it is similar. That said, I feel that him saying he has no recollection might be true for other reasons (wasted) and the statement from his lawyer is not strictly accurate because I know he commented on the Look Away documentary via his lawyer to say it was untrue. This is not the first time he is hearing the allegations.
  13. I have heard some but I couldn't cite sources or speak to their accuracy. I am sure others can weigh in though. I am not really surprised if he has though given some of the stuff he has said in interviews around that time period.
  14. He knew. It was in the Look Away documentary and he commented on it via his lawyer at the time.
  15. I agree. As fond as I am of Axl, what she is saying she has said before and it takes a lot of guts to come forward and face a powerful individual with a lot of fans/supporters. This isn't going to be an easy payday. Whatever happened between them, she has evidently been talking and thinking about this for a long time.
  16. ๐Ÿ˜† Tbf, I do ๐Ÿ˜ Axl but not enough to post on a gazillion forums about him. Probably not enough to read a gazillion forums about him, either, tbh. I clearly have issues committing.
  17. I would see the positives as being at least fans are engaged, interested, invested, etc but I would prefer there to just be a couple that ticked every box, particularly when there are the same fans posting across multiple forums. I am learning that I am alone in this desire, however.
  18. Oh I do remember that one, thanks! I might rewatch it though as it's been a while... ๐Ÿ˜
  19. I don't know if I remember that one so will have to Google it. I remember the patio one. I have noticed online that there are young fans saying they want him to be their sugar daddy and some other.... lively things ๐Ÿคฃ I also just watched some footage of him swinging a bra around at the show last night on Instagram and had a giggle to myself that people are still throwing underwear at him in 2023.
  20. I wrote Axl a fan letter in 1989 when I was 13. I am in denial about what I wrote but I have no doubt it was pure cringe. Probably something like "I wuv you".
  21. I can't watch that footage anymore, I have seen it a few times now and I don't doubt it helped a lot of people feel less alone, but if I click on it by accident I come out of it. The crowd response was odd and I just want to get him the hell out of there.
