This was our third GN'R show, and although it was great as always, I don't think Axl was completely over being sick. He struggled a little with his higher range, but in true Axl form, you wouldn't know it to look at him. He never got frustrated or blamed his voice or anything, he just kept on rockin'. Duff and Fortus seemed like they were having more fun than usuals, which was cool to watch. Slash, as always, was Slash (although it sounded like the tech had his guitar mistuned a tiny bit sharp during "November Rain.") First time seeing them since the releases of "Silkworms" and "Perhaps," so that was cool (though I still really prefer the "Silkworms" version to "Absurd").
But it was fun and the band was very gracious. Alice in Chains also put on a solid set.
And it was fun to be on the Kauffman field again.
