  1. to be fair, maybe I'm mistaken, but from watching it three times, axl totally comes in at the wrong time, leaving it very hard/impossible for Frank to end the song with him. So, as I said, maybe I didn't hear it right, but I've noticed it many times now, particularly in PC, that axl has a problem with this.

  2. You really didn’t notice?

Not really, because every show we’ve been doing a two-and-a-half to three-hour show; we’ve been doing some long nights. The crowd was going nuts; we kind of lost ourselves. We went back out for the encore, we were gonna do two or three songs, and we ended up doing quite a few more. By the time we got off, we realized we beat the all-time Guns N’ Roses record for longest show, which we didn’t set out to do, but it was cool.

Yeah right... Listen again to axl's in ear monitor before Nice Boys, they clearly wanted the record... Certainly not a bad thing, but to say it was just a coincidence, and they didn't realize until the show was over ist just... hmmm

  3. maybe axl plays piano!! :xmasssanta:

    that would be awesome

that would be awesome!!, I remember that Axl was saying how much he loved that song, when he was young he bought the Elton John songbook and learned to play his songs, and he said he particularly enjoyed the solo in Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, I think his exact words were:'Noone can touch that solo'.

that was Bennie and the jets if i'm not mistaken

  4. Well, these could be just 2 pictures that haven't been available to everyone. Anyway, if he would post a short clip of music (not video), it could easily be proven as real, as there is only one other source of audio. That way the DVD wouldn't loose any value, but for me, it would be proof.

  5. That is my only big problem with DJ... Although Robin screwed up a lot in live shows, he still always managed to write interesting, "unexpected" guitar lines, which is why I love his studio work on Chinese Democracy. With DJ Ashba, I always feel like his choice of notes is so predictable, it could be played by anybody. The IRS Solo is actually a pretty good example of this in my eyes. To be a little bit more precise, I absolutely hate it, how he doesn't let the notes "ring", instead he always moves down the fretboard, so that you only hear a small amount of the notes (hope that was understandable :) ) Good examples of this are his Sorry solo and the ending of the Street of dreams solo.

Because of that, and his sometimes weak bendings, I just don't understand why Ron doesn't get more of the solo spots...

  6. Jesus, some of you just won't be ever satisfied. Over the past years, everyone was bitching about Axl not caring for the fans, and how Axl took the GNR Name etc. Now he makes such an outstanding move, and shows us how much he cares. Hell, he spend 7 hours at CD.com, what do you want more? It doesn't get any better than that, and I'm just so thankful for Axl for doing something like that.

In regard to his post: Just shut the fuck up, really, I don't know how many times I have read theories about why Axl took the name, how he took it etc. And now, for the first time, we hear it straight from the man himself and yet your arguing? Do you prefer our theories based on nothing but speculation over the truth, we always wanted to hear from Axl?

And about Axl talking about the old band goes the same thing... He only responds to our question, which are (maybe sadly, but understandable in my opinion) often about the old band. So what exactly are we complaining about, getting the answers to our questions? Not really...
