Yesterday i picked up the 2010 re-issue of the Jimi Hendrix album Band of gypsys. Great songs and awesome sound quality!

(Jam - Baby, I'm Gonna Leave You)
15. November Rain
Who's playing the piano? Axl or somebody backstage?
(i actually heard this story last week from an artist who have played the Graspop festival several times and saw this happen when he was standing backstage while watching 1 of the GNR concerts at this festival, don't ask his name because i ain't gonna tell you who he is.)

Does anyone know what shirt Axl is wearing at the start of the Toronto show?
Is that a band's shirt? Anyone know if its online anywhere?
This is from the Toronto show.
That's a cool picture.
That was a cool singer.

Early 1988 after a friend gave me a copy (TDK) of Appetite for Destruction.

I bought the following album yesterday:
Led Zeppelin (IV), 1971 - Australian pressing.

G1 - But which band is better: the current or the original ?
Dizzy Reed - The current Guns is one of the best formations that the band ever had. We have three guitar players who are among the best in the world and a monstrous rhythm section . If I had to vote, i would vote on current formation .
Less is more.

Disappointing? Nah, just another GNR 2.0 episode. Business as usual and the exact reason why i don't care about this band anymore.

Very sad. I hear what you're saying NGOG but serious depression is an illness and the mind doesn't work that way when in the thick of it. Assuming of course depression was the issue, I've not read any news stories.
I'm not foreign to the concept of depression Alf, I've had my fair share of it. But at no point during the sadness could I have justified killing myself.
Not only does it discard your potential as a human being, but it leaves everybody else with an eternal pain.
People with depression are horrible human beings.
I'm wondering if you gonna say that again when somebody close to you, your mother for example, suffers from a depression and she takes the decision to put an end on her life by burning herself alive. That's exactly what happens to my mother and i really hope that none of you have to experience that. It is easy to act tough when you are sitting behind a computer screen but the next time it is best to even think for a few seconds, whether it is smart to post such nonsense.

I had the same feelings years ago when GNR, Metallica or any other band that i like(d) planned to do a show in my region. Over the years it changed to the point that it does not really interest me anymore. I saw the Stones once in the late '90's, saw Metallica like 7 times and Guns N' Roses 4 times. During the past two years I discoverd some bands whose music and concerts I appreciate more. I now look forward to the concert of the band Chain of dogs that takes place next saturday, at Landgraaf.
Haven't seen you post in a long time man, hey!
Hello HV, how are you these days? The reason why i don't post here that often is because i'm done with this incarnation of GNR. I got tired of the disrespect they show towards their fans. That's all i have to say about this. It happens sometimes that I react on a post here, but much less than before.

Last week i bought this one for 1 euro:
Creedence Clearwater Revival featuring John Fogerty - Chronicle (2 lp)

Everything in GNR became huge in 1992, just like the ego's.
-
Latest additions:
Kadaver - Kadaver
Year of the goat - Lucem ferre (ep)

... so does the band. All Roses, N' no Guns.
Please stop it. This is the real GNR to me. And just because I was born in 1998 and not alive when the classic lineup was together has nothing to do with it.
Funny how everything was roses when they held on to the guns.

Looking good Stiff. I have a Denon dp-29f turntable plugged in into a Technics SU-Z11 amplifier. The only thing i need to make my set complete are a set of decent speakers.

Folsom and San Quentin are two others I keep meaning to buy. Did you buy the re-issues or are they original? I'm just curious how either sound.
Both lp's are original editions, i bought them at a fleamarket a little while ago.
Cool. I see them used all the time but always think about waiting to get the reissues. I should probably just grab the originals when I find them in good shape.
With these kind of albums i only want the originals. I don't care when the sleeve is a bit damaged, it just gives some extra character to the lp.

Korpiklaani - Happy little boozer
