  1. Didnt Cory Taylor get turned down by Slash for the job in VR?

"We got together and we jammed some stuff and I guess it just wasn't working for him", said Taylor. "He's Slash and he's entitled to have that, and I'm not gonna argue with him."

Axl Rose is somebody, that guy is nobody. End of story

Correction: Axl was somebody, many years ago.

  2. I've seen so many ridiculous comments on here, such as "nobody outside of 20 fans on this board care about an album from the current band" etc. Axl's detractors love to belittle the current line-up, but the truth is, if Axl released a new GNR album this year, it would undoubtedly go top 5 in both the US and the UK album charts and probably sell a similar amount to CD, maybe more if it were promoted better.

It wouldn't even get in the top 30. This band proved enough what their up to, playing the nostalgia act night after night.

Thats why This I Love and Street of Dreams are rock classics.

To the ears of a "fan" maybe but not to the average Jack on the street.

no I think the average Jack would think these are GNR singles without thinking.

When you ask any person on the street if they know these songs how many will say they do?

  4. Final Setlist:

    You're Crazy

    Used To Love Her

    Welcome To The Jungle

    Better

    Patience

(Paradise City Intro) Sweet Child O' Mine

    Paradise City

It's 2012 right now, 16 years after G N' R broke up and yet this lame fuck is still making profit of the classic band? Fucking hilarious. I for myself will not support this "band" anymore. They are a fucking disgrace to rockmusic.

  5. droezle -

nearly dead? and yet you spend your precious time posting on an unofficial fan site devoted to the band? what does that say about your life?

That was my first post in weeks. And what about you? Still posting here out of boredom?

  6. Who was in the original lineup is a matter of fact, not opinion. Slash was not a member of the original lineup. He was a member of the classic lineup. Why are so many Slash fans obsessed with lying? Is it because Slash is obsessed with lying? Are they just copying their hero? So weird.

The dude is by far the most notable lead guitarist in GNR's history. Famous the world over for his contributions. A member of the classic lineup, which has been inducted into the hall of fame!

So why the need to lie and call him an "original" member?!?!?!? Why not just tell the truth?!?

The truth is that you're still so hilarious that it ain't funny anymore. No matter what you all think, G N' R is nearly dead and that's a fact. They only don't have the guts to pull the plug out. Why? You all know why, the die hard fans of this so called "band" included.

  7. I think Axl really liked all the guys in the band in the early years. even in 1988 or 1989 and even 1991/1992 I would always see Axl sticking up for or showing off the members of the band Maybe later in the early 90's things may have changed to more of a partnership because they knew that needed each other to keep the band going.

Hey Marc, is it true that Axl helped out Slash to get clean from heroin during the late '80s?

  8. one of my favourite shows:

    What a setlist:

set: Out Ta Get Me, Welcome To The Jungle, Think About You, Rocket Queen, Move To The City, Nightrain, My Michelle, Don't Cry, You're Crazy, Back Off Bitch, Anything Goes [Alt. Lyrics], Mama Kin, Paradise City, Nice Boys, Heartbreak Hotel, Shadow Of Your Love, Jumpin' Jack Flash

    rock3

  9. The Activision lawsuit was not about bitching and moaning about the past. The issue is breach of contract.

    Yes it is.

The 'breach of contract' was Axl's disapproval of having Slash on the cover because it is false misrepresentation of Guns N' Roses, which is a joke in itself because he is only playing songs Slash helped write during the Vegas shows. Sounds a little contradictory right?

    No, it isn't.

The reason why the judge will let this go to trial is because there is a valid claim of breach of contract. There is no valid claim that I've ever heard of to allow a lawsuit to go to trial to merely bitch and moan about the past. The Vegas shows, which have not happened yet and as such the setlists are unknown, are completely irrelevant to the lawsuit.

    Ali

The breach of contract was Activision using Slash as a representation of Guns N' Roses. Axl is playing Guns N' Roses songs Slash helped write. Axl doesn't want Slash to represent Guns N' Roses, yet he is playing Slash's songs.

    arnold

    They are not "Slash songs"

    They are GNR songs.

    Axl = GNR

    Cool?

And where would Axl and "his GNR" be today without Slash, Izzy, Duff and Steven?
