Any fans about??
The Specials, Reel Big Fish, The Beat, The Slackers, Operations Ivy, Buju Banton, Less Than Jake, No Doubt, Madness, Bad Manners, Shaggy, Dance Hall Crashers, and so on.
I'm a huge fan (though the homophobia generally associated with Dancehall music I try to ignore!) of all these genres - proper feel-good summertime party music.
Anyone else love it?

NWA are one of my favourite
Seeing Public Enemy at Manchester Academy in may, performing the whole of It Takes A Nation Of Millions, should be good - not entirely sure I'm gonna fit in but who cares?!
Sugar Hill Gang, Grandmaster Flash, Jay-Z, Tupac.
Love proper rap.

The Pixies are a fantastic band.
But if you're just getting into them I recoommend you start off with Wave Of Mutilation (the best of) and then if you're still digging 'em check out Doolittle.
Not just for Nirvana fans at all - damn good band in their own right!!

EDIT: Lithium of course its true if you say it, love.

I fucking LOVE them!
I made a thread a month ago and no-one replied
My favourite songs are Burn Them Prisons, Atheist Anthem, Rock the 40oz, Ya Can't Go Home and So You wanna Be A Cop?
Its my current ambition to see them live, but they've got no plans to come to the UK at the moment and I'm a poor student - can't be running to the states to see 'em!!
Fuck World Trade is one of the best punk albums ever.
You a fan of Conflict and Crass as well?
They're in a very similar vein

...I thought it was a fantastic line-up

The world's oldest known song is approximately 3,400 years old and written in Hurrian on a clay tablet found at the site of the city of Ugarit in the early 1950s. Due to the lack of confirmatory material translations of the text differ, although all current interpretations agree that the music is diatonic. On some interpretations the music consists of two melodic lines and utilises both major and minor thirds, on other interpretations the music consists of one melodic line (is monophonic) with a rhythmic accompaniment.
The First Delphic Hymn is the earliest unambiguous surviving example of notated music from anywhere in the world.
According to wikipedia.
Sounds like it must be right - 3,400years is a long ass time.
Knowing wikipedia I was expecting it to say something ridiculous like Loveshack or something

But in a.. So lame.. Its funny? Kinda way.
If you get me
It was so stupid, but totally ridiculous.

Soul Asylum - Runaway Train
But really, at a party?!
That song nearly reduces me to tears sometimes
-
I'm so careless.
I clicked it.
It was just a forum with one member, didn't seem like it was funny or anything.

I went to see Juno last night.
It sucked balls.
I walked out.
I'd have regretted it the rest of my life subjecting my ass to that.

I've heard some people insist it's overated, but I didn't know it was possible not to at least like it. Can you expand on why you felt that way?
Dull. Unfunny. Predictable.
I just found it immensely boring.
The only thing that redeemed it was the occasional decent song.
Just my opinion though
