FYI -- while you've priced it to break even, Stub Hub has marked it up considerably. Listing price including fees is $343 for your ticket. Wait until the general sale or put it up on craigslist and you should hopefully move it sooner than later.

Jeez!  Thanks for the heads up about Stub Hub

Yeah, just call them.. I returned a bunch of tickets yesterday because no one wanted them. I would do it sooner than later though. It may depend on the venue but there is usually a 24 hour grace period.

They wouldn't let me.  I put it on eBay and Stub Hub at face value and no one is even biting!  I really hope I don't get stuck with a $261.75 ticket.  It's a deal compared to what scalpers are asking for!

He also gave us one of our first breaks that this show was happening last night.

He he has some pics with Axl also but who knows could be fake

I've met him before.  He's a typical Hollywood wanna be that claims he knows a bunch of people.  He's usually hanging around outside events waiting to snap pics with people.  Anyone that's really friends with someone doesn't start a photo caption "SLASH!  MY Buddy of 30 years!!!"

I haven't got a new password, but I tried to reset mine and the same thing happen. So now I can't login with my previous password and the site doesn't let me reset it. I bought the annual Nightrain membership in January. I hope my membership still works.

Let me know if you hear anything or if they resolve it.  I purchased it in January as well.  It's probably a website error.  I tried calling the number in the help section but was on hold for a few min (while they played Sweet Child O' Mine), but had to get back to work…Im going to try again later.

You shouldve gotten an email with a new password

I did, and logged in yesterday.  Today I tried to reset my password though, and it takes you to a reset password screen where it has your username, and you enter the new PW.  After entering the new PW, it says that your username can't be your email address (which is how it used to be, right?)  Thats fine by me…but when I try to change the text in the username box…it doesn't let you!!!  You can't make any changes to it

I choose to put a new username there, instead of the e-mailadres that was automatically put there bij het website. After that my login was accepted and I got into my old profile. Ofcourse this means new screenname.

Yeah, but it won't even let me delete anything in there.  If I try to delete the @gmail or type in an entirely new username, it won't let me make any changes to that section!  It must be some sort of error on the site

  7. Has anyone tried to change their password?  When it took me to the change password screen after I forgot my PW, it allows me to enter a new one…but then it says "Your Login Name must begin with a lowercase letter and can only contain lowercase letters, numbers, and/or '_'"

It won't allow me to take out the @gmail.com in my username though!  I can't make any edits to the box next to user name.

Izzy left in 1991. He's not coming back full time..he has his own, low key band. Maybe a full show at some point, but not a full time band member.

Alice should ask himself, 'Why are Dennis Dunaway, Michael Bruce and Neil Smith not in my band anymore?!'

THIS!  I love a lot of Alice's solo stuff, but he really dropped the ball a few years ago when Alice Cooper were inducted into the RnR Hall of Fame.  A small, theater tour in major markets with the original Alice Cooper would've been fantastic.

  10. No, I saw it last night at the Chinese theater in Hollywood. I mentioned earlier that it looked like the audio was out of sync by a few frames the entire show. Frank hitting the drums, Axl's vocals, the guitar, etc. Everything seemed OFF by a few frames.

Wow, that would have been awful. Hopefully that was something to do with the theater since the trailers look to be synced up properly?

The first time I noticed it was when they had shots of Frank drumming, when he hit the drums...it didn't quite look right. Then when Axl was singing, it looked a bit off. At first I said to myself, well maybe they did ADR on that vocal, etc, or it was a bad edit when Frank was drumming. But it was consistent the entire show. Im sure the blu-ray is going to be 100% fine. I work in post production, so Im assuming that something happened when it was converted for screening in cinemas. I didn't hear anyone around me complaining, people were really enjoying it. But when I mentioned it to my friends about halfway through the show, they noticed it instantly. Still a cool experience. Looking forward to picking up the blu-ray.

  11. Saw the concert last night at the Studio Movie Grill. It was great!

The 3 d made you feel like you were at this concert! The energy from this band was just fantastic. Axl looked and sounded great.

This version was only 2 and a half hour show, so they didn't show the whole concert. It was actually 3 and a half hours. Only did 2 songs from CD, which were, Chinese Democracy and This is Iove. I know at my Vegas show GNR performed Better and Street of Dreams as well as covers of Whole lotta Rosie and The Seeker.

All in all it was a blast! So glad I went to see it in the theatre. It was like being at the concert again and that is a great memory for me.

Whoever goes to see GNR in the theatre you will have the best time. This band brings it and Axl dancing with the dancing girls was so damn funny!

    Awesome! Thanks for sharing!

Is Val the first forumer to have seen it?

No, I saw it last night at the Chinese theater in Hollywood. I mentioned earlier that it looked like the audio was out of sync by a few frames the entire show. Frank hitting the drums, Axl's vocals, the guitar, etc. Everything seemed OFF by a few frames.

  12. I think the package that is available is perfect, in that, it gives you what the title says..."Greatest HITS". Putting stuff like "Locomotive", "So Fine", etc, on a greatest "hits" just doesn't make sense, in my opinion. Now if it was a 2 disc "Anthology" or something, then now you're talking!

Ironically, half of their hits on the GH package just happened to be cover songs, haha.

Does anyone have the track listing for the 2 disc Best-of / Anthology that was supposed to come out around 2006 or so? It had the logo with the chinese G&R but the old pistol and roses logo (as seen on 2006 era shirts, etc). That had a killer track list if I remember correctly

  13. Okay, just got home.

I enjoyed it, don't get me wrong - but I found it to be the least engaging of Sam and Scott's band-centric documentaries so far. That's not to say it's bad, but I felt like it was almost entirely composed of stories I've heard Alice tell in one way or another over the years. Obviously his cocaine use was one of the bigger revelations - to my knowledge he's never really acknowledged that he got into drugs after his first time sobering up? I'd also never heard about that Hollywood Bowl gig in about '72; very cool story. The coverage on the ACG era is indeed excellent, but I felt that everything after that was a little rushed, bordering on glazed over. I've got to disagree with Zint in that I'm not especially happy with where the documentary ended. I know there's not much of a story to tell after the '86 comeback, but if you went into that documentary knowing little to nothing about Alice, you wouldn't even know he was still around as a performer post-1986.

And just for clarification, I was always under the impression that they'd denied the ouija board story?

I had a good time though, and even with my criticisms, Sam and Scott hands down produce the best music documentaries. Can't wait to get this on Blu Ray, apparently the deluxe edition comes with a few unreleased gigs

There is a title card at the end that says "Alice still continues to record and tour as the Alice Cooper character" or something to that effect

  14. Clearly Alice is a misguided, deluded, self entitlement, pious, arrogant web warrior.

    Exactly.

And he only mentioned Axl to try and get some free media exposure to his struggling career.

Struggling? The guy has been performing as Alice Cooper since the late 60's...still plays excellent shows (yes, in small theaters...but he and his band often headline all the huge festivals over in the UK and Europe. PLus he still consistently records and tours. Not 1 new album in 20 years

  15. They charge too much money for tickets. I know at least 10 people that would have went to the Palladium and Wiltern Theater shows if tickets weren't over $100.

    The usual convo went like

ME:"GNR is playing the Wiltern next week!"

FRIEND: "I'm down, how much are tickets? $60?"

    ME:"100+"

FRIEND:"Sorry man, I'd go if it was cheaper, but I have bills to pay"
