I think its time to start reporting the GunsNRosesVevo channel along with other major artists.  Its the only way to bring this insane process to light and get YouTube to pay attention to it.

Did the mentally ill person from the "truthful" board likely create an 'IFPI' fake account to do this?  I shouldn't do this from my personal account right?

I vote targeting that lazy ass Move to the City lyric video first

Have we figured out why audio from the audience recording was spliced into the mix?

Was the VHS tape damaged? Or was the audience audio added to de-value the bootleg on the trading market?

Does the 10GB file have unedited audio, or is it the same?

I don't think the audience recording was spliced into the mix - it sounds more like a VHS audio drop out to me since it's very brief moments of audio glitching

  3. Pittsburgh 2002 - about 6-7,000. They didn’t curtain off any sections and move people down, so there were empty seats all over the Mellon Arena.  Bad snowstorm that night

Cleveland 2006 - id say around 8,000 or so but they did curtain off the upper levels so it looked more packed than Pittsburgh show

forum 2011 in LA - mostly full but a lot of people left around midnight

palladium in LA 2012 - pretty full but not sold out

house of Blues LA 2012 - sold out, CRAZY crowd.  Guest appearances by Brain and Robin.  They went on a little after midnight and played til almost 4am

I hear ya on this and it does make some sense BUT the person who had everything leaked what he had already.

That 2 minute cell phone clip is the only thing that's every been floating around. Regardless of what some new "insiders" who are only repeating versions of why they've been told in PMs are saying.

The leaker is this current round of leaks IS a user here but he leaked what he had. He doesn't have any sort of studio version of The General to share with us unfortunately.

So is it safe to say that no one actually has a copy of The General?  But we know for sure Atlas exists because of the Bumblefoot guitar on the left channel etc? As in it was with oMg and Silkworms?

  5. We will never see new music released officially, that is, as long as management can make money by repackaging a 30 year old album and by propping Axl up infront of a micstand and pushing him out onto the Donnington stage.  Chinese was 10 years ago, the last album of original material before that was 1991.  They've released 1 album in 27 years.  Pathetic.

AND, we definitely won't see any of the 30+ other songs recorded during the Chinese era, especially since Slash and Duff are back.  If I were Axl, I'd put everything out there for the hardcore fans, and close the door on that chapter of the band.  But what's that saying?  Not in this lifetime?  I've been a hardcore GnR fan for years, but I just don't see much to get excited about anymore.

Is there a reason they put an instrumental on there?

So next year they can re-release the box set with a 5th disc containing the version with vocals after a batch of demos "recently discovered" are found in a Universal vault and will cost an additional $2500 and feature a CD that doesn't play but has a hologram of the GnR logo.  It will also feature a new single, a :35 second track of Axl warming up his vocals and Slash tuning his guitar, available in 5.1 surround, but only in the ultra ultra limited edition box (limited to 50,000 units)

Go to a cd store.  Tons of bands have sets like this out today.  Since the label isn't making money on 15 dollar CD sales anymore they have to make it somehow.  Box sets like this sell.

But with this extreme price tag??

the most I’ve ever paid for a box set was for Alice Cooper Old School in 2011.  Limited to 3,000 copies. $225. Came in a huge school desk (no faux leather book) 4 cds, a book, a 12” live album, a 7” single, tour book reproductions, and some more cool stuff...and 10 packages contained golden tickets for VIP experiences.  Charging $1000 is fucking insane for what you’re getting.  (It wouldn’t be as bad if the last album of new material came out in 2008, 27 years after the last album of original material)

Please go join a forum for an artist you respect. Nobody needs or wants your negativity here

I agree 100% with @Gordon Comstock.  It’s very sad that the only album Axl has released since 1993 is Chinese Democracy.  1 record in 25 years.  That’s fucking ridiculous.  It’s obvious people are STARVED to hear new material because people go nuts over a cellphone recording and a 51 second jam from 1987 because it has new vocals.  I used to be a big Axl fan, especially when he first debuted the new band in 2001. He had drive and fire in his artistic abilities.  He was pushing boundaries with GnR’s sound.  It was exciting.  Now the only thing to get excited about are temporary tattoos and covers of Black Hole Sun.

I bougjt a 1987 promo LP with the robot cover of Appetite last week.  It sounds amazing.  I’m not buying into this cash cow anymore until there is something to be excited about

a likely scenario was having "The Remix album" either accompanying "CD2", or part of reissued expanded edition of CD (probably a bonus disc). things seem to indicate that whatever was the purpose, it was rejected by the label in 2010 and Axl seemed to gave up on ChiDem stuff since that time.

it's not really possible to tell when exactly that rejection happened, we know that the "VIP listening party" including The General (that crappy quality cellphone recording that leaked recently) was in Vienna in 2010, and Vienna show happened on 18th September 2010 - I don't think Axl & co were flying to Vienna some other day than around the show (maybe @Mindray11 remembers if the party was happening during the days around the show) - and altough it's not possible to tell exactly, I'd say that the listening party must have happened before the rejection. so the rejection probably happened in late 2010 - my guess how the things happened.

has it been confirmed that the label did indeed reject a Chinese Democracy 2 in 2010?  It just seems weird that they would, esp if it was already recorded and ready to go.

Most of the hate comes from either the AshbaSwag bullshit, or butchering some iconic solos with his unique interpretations that made Axl & Ron Thal's eyes roll into their heads during shows.

There's also the case of him being a 45 year old man thinking he's part of gen z.

Wasn't there a show where Tommy or Ron were laughing at DJ with Axl behind his back - I can't remember where I seen this at!
