It’s pretty obvious that what was posted without the white background is bootleg aka. fake.

The official merch stands don’t look like a shack set up on the side of the road and no official GN’R merch or specifically tees have tags.

Hahaha you're welcome visit Israel and see that in the good case,  merch stands looks like street market stands. Bad case? A simple folding table.

As for the tags, I can tell you that tour shirts prior to 2016 had tags, and not the GN'R print you're referring too.

Then again, what do i know? Stupid me, buying fake merchandise from lame stands INSIDE the venue :D

I'll just sit here in quite until you'll share with us your majestic top notch official shirts from the concert you'll attend to.

I’m willing to bet the photos you posted and the Fruit Of The Loom shirts you speak of are bootleg.

The only thing that looks official on this page is the white tour tee and red bandana.

Welp, if that's the case then it means it was an "inside" job, cause it was sold at the official merch stands, and they sold shitloads of them.

Guess we'll have to wait and see what's the status in Spain.

yes I was. It was great fun, I think I've enjoyed all of it. So many people in the crowd as well. Didn't record videos or took pics with my phone just cause I don't care for that kind of thing in general and it would have ruined the experience for me. Gn'R still rocks hard imho, even if it's tougher for Axl vocally, it was obvious he gave it 100%.

Just my 2 cents, I think it was their best show in Israel so far.

Wish I could find a decent audio bootleg

The official shirts in Aus were utter shit, so I expect that to be the same globally. The shirt I got back in November ended up being printed crooked on a Gildan t-shirt, lol.

The printing quality looks good, and it's Fruit of the loom. Not as good as the ones I bought in 2017 (hell I'm still wearing the shirt I bought in '05-'06!) but not so bad.

Mostly, it's  the designs that sucks :/

Lithograph is a reference to "The White City", a collection buildings in Tel Aviv from the 1930s, Bauhaus style. And according to Wikipedia Tel Aviv has the largest number of buildings in the Bauhaus/International Style of any city in the world!

The building in the litho could be this one, but of course it could be a totally different one.

  6. Hi hi!

The new tour is just around the corner, and I'm facing a dilemma. I've seen the band a few times before, but this time I'm unsure about which tickets to get - golden ring or out-of-the-golden-ring standing ticket.

During the 2017 tour, I opted for the golden ring and found myself pretty  exhausted due to the Israeli hot weather and many hours at the venue... and so I've missed out on some epic moments when I had to step away for overpriced bottles of water.

The other option is to settle for the  distant (standing) tickets.

Also, I haven't come across any confirmed information about The Pretenders or Generation Sex performing with GN'R in Israel.

While I would absolutely love to see Generation Sex, I'm concerned that a full GN'R show plus two additional bands might be too much for poor ol' me..

What do you say? Anyone facing the same dilemma?

I'm going. Excited about this. First time seeing Slash live, golden ring.

Well you're up for a treat  :) for the first time I'll be in the back.

The heat, crowdness and the $10 bottle of water last time broke me (along with age lol and fucking covid).

Also if there's one thing that I've learned from this forum, is that the first shows of the tour are weak, so.. :/

As the title implies, was Chinese Democracy ever released on audio cassette? I don't believe it was in the US, but curious on foreign markets.

I have a "classic" vehicle from 1999 that only has a cassette player, so I have been collecting some of my favorite albums on cassette to play in it.

    Thanks!

Apparently there is an official release

Josh Freese's and Stevies' comments to me reinforce how much needless tampering just made the whole thing way more convoluted than rock music ever should be - both in practice and in business

Don't get me wrong I like a lot of Chinese as a whole as compositions, but this record was seemingly made in the most un-rock n' roll way possible and it shows in the sound.  Imagine how powerful some of those tracks would have been if the rhythm section recorded live and fed off each other's energy, and ProTools was used more for post-processing than it was constantly replacing and splicing instrument tracks for (at least) 9 years off-and-on

I always wanted to hear a "bare" version of the album (bass, 2 guitars etc) and no overdubs!

Other than the old "Uzi suicide shirt", I never saw a shirt like this, and can't find any info on it.

Long story short, I bought a box of mid to late 80's tour shirts from an estate, and this was in it. I kept a few of the more common tour shirts that fit, but this one is too big, and I have no idea what to make of it. Kinda think it was a bootleg shirt from their Israel show in 1993. Maybe someone here will recognize it. 3QTclAx.jpg

Very interesting.. old school fan from Israel here, I've never saw this design.

    Guess it's a dated bootleg
