  1. This fella is an A1 Cunt, if he weren't leaking songs which might be guns n roses i wouldn't touch his show with a bargepole.

Yes but... Shhhhh! You'll make him crawl back in... -

It's all right, he's only on the HTGTH board and not here, so i'm safe from abuse

    SO FUCK HIM!

  2. Its an Izzy song, thats why!

    Jonx

Patience is an Izzy song and that's ever present, so that's not why he doesn't play don't cry, as i've said a thousand times it was retired in Shannon Hoon's memory, i wish i still had the article to prove it, someone must have it!!...

Plus i wouldn't really fancy that bunch of clowns playing it anyway.

  3. That rocket queen clip sounds fucking blinding, but i'd agree with Ulmer that people are getting carried away with Axl's voice, it sounds pretty much the same to me as the 2002 tour, maybe slightly better but that wttj that i downloaded from this thread sounded pretty bad and it could get worse when we get clearer versions...

...Don't bash me, i love Axl but i'm pretty sure he'll never reach the heights which he once reached with his breath-takingly unique voice that he had in the 80s/90s, for me one of the best of all time, but not any more, although saying all of this nothing would make me happier then for Axl to prove me wrong.

  4. I see the band twice in 2002 at docklands and at leeds festival, london was pretty average but leeds was really good, for me it was the best show of the last tour as axl actually sounded a little bit like he used to, but it still wasn't a touch on the old band and from what i've heard so far from these NY shows there hasn't really been a great deal of improvement, so far the only things thats impressed me was the myspace video of november rain where axl sounded pretty good, but the guitars on the other hand sounded fucking awful...

...So it's all a mixed bag.

  5. If i'd of known about this i wouldn't of bought day tickets for download so i probably won't be going, i'm not too impressed with the setlists axl's played so far in new york and can't really see them changing so i won't be missing out on much, just basically the same that i see at docklands in 2002, plus he still sounds like his had helium pumped up his arse before he goes on stage so it wouldn't be guns n roses that i'd be seeing.

  6. i wanted oh my god, dont cry, estranged and the garden to be played. those will probably never be played again though :(. bach could have done alice cooper's bit on the garden...

Don't Cry was retired when Shannon Hoon died, Axl couldn't sing estranged and the garden any more, plus oh my god is shit.

Maybe I should know but why can't Axl sing Estranged anymore?

It's nothing legal, i just don't think his voice could handle it.

  8. I've been reading this but haven't posted in here yet...

I think a lot of people are gonna be let down by Axl's voice, it seems people have forgotten about how bad his voice was during the last tour and i experienced it first hand when i see the band at docklands, it seems people think his voice has recovered all down to the leaked demos, fans seem to forget the wonders that studio equipment can pull off and i for one wouldn't get my hopes up of Axl's voice sounding anything like it does on better, although better isn't a great song his voice really impresses me on it and i'd be delighted if his voice sounds anything like the studio version of better when i see the band at download, if axl shows up  ...

As for opening track and the songs Axl limits himself to i'd go for nightrain, i'd love to hear pretty tied up but that isn't gonna happen, i might be proven wrong, but i think theres a chance his voice could be slightly worse than on the last tour, which would be bad news as i wasn't a fan of his singing last time around at all.

  9. I just watched the clip... I love Oasis and think it would be really cool if it's true but it doesn't look like Axl to me....

I'm not that much of an oasis fan so i couldn't check if this was true, i had my doubts all along though and they've now been proved right

  10. Dosed is a great track... I like most of the songs on that album. Its a great album.

Yeah, but nobody has mentioned Venice Queen, i love that song, it's perfect for summer.

  11. Has anyone got there tickets yet.. some people on the download forum have started to get theres.

I bought two day tickets yesterday and they said they'd definitely be here 48 hours before the day of the show, i paid for the delivery tracker option which you have to sign for, so mine should be safe, i hope.

  12. They are known as one of the most controversial and popular American Rock Bands of all times. They have sold over 85 million albums. They are the only act to hold the top two album spots in both the UK and US on the week of releasing both records with Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II. Their album, "Appetite for Destruction" holds titles for the Greatest Guitar Album Ever (Total Guitar, June 2003), Greatest Metal Album (Spin, July 2003), #1 Essential Hard Rock Album (Kerrang! March 2004), and their rock-anthem November Rain holds the #1 spot on Dutch Veronica radio for the number 1 song (December 2004). They are Guns N' Roses and they will be appearing at 2 shows only as part of The Rolling Stones A Bigger Bang tour this summer.

    :o

Yeah i know what you mean, it's making it sound like the old band are showing up and i wish it was the old band, but it's still cool news, even thought they're not a touch on the old band.

  14. I didn't download it, although to be honest it's already at hmv where i work in the stock room waiting to be put out on monday, i've been very tempted to nick a copy, but have managed not to somehow and i'm still looking forward to getting it on monday.

  15. I'm round my mates house and he has that dvd, i'm gonna ransack his house to try and find the dvd as he's out and see if this is true, would be an interesting find as it's the last place you'd expect to see axl seeing as it's a 94 oasis gig and from what i'm lead to believe oasis played complete shit-holes on their first us tour.

  16. Ordered my day tickets today for me and my mate, i didn't think i'd be going as i didn't fancy a whole weekend listening to a load of bands i don't like, but as soon as i see day tix were on sale i soon changed my mind...

I just hope Axl turns up
