    Croatian Times

American rock band Guns N' Roses will perform at Zagrebs Arena sports hall on 20 June.

The well-known band formed in Hollywood in Los Angeles, California in 1985 will hold the Zagreb concert on its European tour to promote its album "The Chinese Democracy".

The American hard rock band has revived the punk, blues and heavy-metal scene of the 1980s and 1990s.

Some of their greatest hits have been the rock ballads "November Rain", "Dont Cry", "Sweet Child Of Mine", "Paradise City" and "Welcome to The Jungle". The band has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide.

Tickets for the Zagreb concert will be on sale from 3 March at prices ranging from 275 kunas (38 Euros) to 500 kunas (69 Euros).

The concert organizer is Lupa promotion agency.

  2. well the problem is that the line up that is on stage now it's not the line up that recorded CD...axl needs to find 6,7 guys and stick with them :D

but then again no one cares who is on stage with Axl he could chage line up every night and the ticket sales woudn't go down (other then original line up) .... but i think Ashba is the best thing that hapend tu Guns in a long time but people do not go to C him......

  3. look he is the only one iN this world that knows when CD is coming out ...he has 100% control over it....if he wants CD out in Jan 27 then he will get it out...if he wanted CD out in Dec then we would all be happy mother fucker right now....it is 100% ABOUT AXL..HE HAS ALL THE CONTROL ABOTU IT

  4. old band resume:

    AFD

    Lies

    UYI

    TSI

Several successful and sold out arena and stadium tours all over the world

    new band resume:

    2001-02 bootlegs

    4 demos

one failed tour, and another failing with half empty arenas at many shows on both tours

    who has the better resume?

    YOUR MISSING THE POINT SIR.

IT's not who has been more successful in the past.

It's ONE MAN'S OPINION of who he thinks is better.

Not who sold more albums. Not who toured longer.

It's one man having the balls to voice his opinion.

And where is the old band now? Whether you like it or not, the "old" band isn't together any more. There is a reason for that.

and i think we all know who is the reason for that :rolleyes: and talking shit about the old band doesnt mean u have balls...

    Apollo:

I guess it depends on your definition of "kicks the shit out of". Call me crazy, but to me that doesn't conjure up much respect. If you say The Bills kicked the shit out of Miami (what will happen this weekend :P ) you don't expect a close 20-17 game. You expect either a rout or at least a game that the Bills dominated despite the score. The term is not flattering, it's meant to indicate the loser was dominated.

I guess we can also disagree about who's fault it was that the old band broke up. I firmly believe that it falls on Axl more than anyone else. Not to say the others weren't partially at fault, none of them were exactly saints. But most evidence I believe points to Axl's dominating and controlling personality that slowly pushed the others to leave the band. You don't just walk away from something like Guns N' Roses so easily. It must have been the toughest decision those guys ever had to make - leaving possibly the greatest hard rock band ever, with possibly the greatest front man ever. You don't make that sort of decision capriciously, I believe you make that decision when you are at your wit's end, not a moment before. Furthermore, the old guys have all expressed the desire to reunite. It's only Axl (and Izzy who just wouldn't be into it) who hasn't.

As for Slash, he is bashed constantly for his work after GN'R despite the fact that much of that material is up to his lofty standards. The old band is constantly put down - called washed up, has beens, glad the are gone, fuck them, the list goes on. And this from people who are supposed to be fans! Granted, one person was probably responsible for half of that garbage.

I've praised the new band on many occasion. I don't really see too many Slash fans having a go a BBF or Fortus. Finck does take a lot of flack but hey, the way he plays some of those old solos is just awful. I can understand why it drives people nuts, because it drove me nuts for a long time. But I've grown to accept him in the new band, because it seems like the man can write some great stuff. And some of the old solos he can play pretty well. So I see his value to the team (mainly as a writer) and I accept it. Writing great tunes is the most important thing IMO. If Finck does that better than most, then I see his importance to the band. Better than some guy who can play the hell out of the old stuff, but can't write a great riff or solo to save his life.

Anyways, you have to expect fans to be touchy when it comes to the old band. They've done it all and as such they command respect - when they don't get it fans get pissed off. The new band has a long way to go before they are in old GN'R's league. That's just a fact. They may eventually get there, I guess we'll see. It certainly won't happen before the album is out, so here's hoping Axl can hit his target.

    [great post dude rock1
