  1. adler said not that long ago he gets a few hundred thousand from GnR a year, so think of his contribution, and then think of axls.

i don't think axl is going to have financial problems if adler doesn't.

  2. i wonder if izzy played axl any of the stuff he recorded with slash duff matt and dave before scott joined them.........

  3. i still have hope for a reunion

Sorry for telling you this but... stop dreaming... , there won't be a reunion, at least not with Duff... he announced last week he will be the second guitar player for Alice In Chains in their new tour (by the way, Alice In Chains plays in Madrid the same day as Guns N'Roses will, but in different venues).

he said he was playing "select shows" not doing the full tour.

  4. Manchester Arena July 18 (phoned, but it went to ticketmaster who know fuck all, emailed them regarding the gig)

Sheffield Arena July 19 (said they do not have a booking on this date)

    Glasgow SECC July 21

    Newcastle Arena July 22

Birmingham NEC July 24 (won't confirm anything which isn't on their site)

    Nottingham Arena July 25 (confirmed)

    Cardiff Arena July 27

    Bournemouth Arena July 28

Wembley Arena July 30 (automated thing similar to manchester, emailed them regarding the gig)

someone else can call the other places.

i suggest people try phoning some of the other venues.

    Somebody phone the M.E.N Arena!!

the MEN doesn't have it's own public telephone number, it connects through to ticketmaster who know fuck all about the date. i've sent an email to the MEN arena regarding it though.

  5. i found the quote

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

We can't explain this enough so I will answer it one more time.

I had a minor surgery on my throat a few summers ago. We went on that summer to play and scream all the way through warped tour that year. After warped tour we settled down to write the new record and as a band decided we did not want that to be a part of our sound anymore.

So here are the quick answers:

    Surgery : Yes

Have anything to do with our sound now : Absolutely Not

    Shads

  6. Avenged Sevenfold covering "Walk" by Pantera

    here

I was at this show, and at the one at the forum where they played it again.

they've played it at pretty much every show on the cities of evil tour.

they did an awesome performance of it in nottingham, and played paradise city as an intro for unholy confessions.

  7. I agree city of evil is vocally much clearer and better quality. Matt had some damage done to his throat from the earlier albums so he doesn't do as much of the scream style he does in the earlier days.

the damage he did to his throat had no bearing on the sound of city of evil. the band just decided they didn't want constant screaming to be part of their music anymore, i'll find the quote from him at some point relating to this.

  8. While the climate in Manhattan in May can be lovely for sleeping on the streets, there are other environmental variables that may make it not so pleasant. There are some cheap hostels in NYC where you share a bathroom with other rooms. Try searching for some of those. I think they are about $30 a night. Here's one pretty close to the show: http://www.manhattaninnhostel.com/

$30 bucks a night?? lol thats gotta be a nasty place..

as for the climate. is it going to be all humid and sticky and shit? My allergies can't handle that kind of weather :(

hostels are usually quite cool, though you can end up sharing with like 7 other people, but thats where the cheap price comes from.

  9. avenged sevenfold are the best new band around by miles. everyone bitches about not having guitar solo's hardly any lead parts bands not being "rock n roll" anymore, yet when a band comes along who fits into that shit you bitch somemore anyway.

the sound on city of evil is far more influenced by iron maiden and metallica than GnR in my opinion, but when you hear the solo in seize the day slash's influence on syn shines through so clearly.

and fair point with the first 2 albums some of the vocals are inaudible
