Funny how Duff and Matt are in NY right now. Stinson's working with the Replacements and Soul Asylum. This is a small venue. Could be a Ritz type of show.

But if not, do you think that Axl would let Slash, Duff, and the rest into the venue this time??

soul asylum have no dates in may, infact there last show between now and july is tonight. and anyway tommy already said that for the few dates that do clash which are in july he will be with GnR.

it's not a special, the one izzy is holding has binding on it, i think it's a custom.

soul asylums tour dates finish in april before restarting again in july, only a few shows clash in early july.

But I for one would not be to upset if they opened with " BETTER " and closed with " ESTRANGED "

coma and locomotive are both songs that scream slash, they're his 2 "babies" from the illusions, and estranged wouldn't sound the same without slash playing it, the guitar tone is so key to that song.

and whoever it was with the jimmy page LP that's such a nice guitar i'd kill for one.

from duff's comment it seems more likely now that slash did infact go to axls, and talk with him, about what who knows.

maybe it was about re-joining gnr, hence the thing ross posted on his site, which was later removed. Slash then changed his mind and obviously that would piss axl off. so axl gets his lawyer to issue a press release.

now the stuff said about scott, duff and matt i don't believe to be true for a second.

however, it could be paraphrasing of things slash said, making them out to be hundreds of times worse than what he said.

example, "i hate matt having all those groupies around it's really pissing me and the others off" turns into "i hate matt".

He's NEVER done anything better than UYI2... Slash at his best. But yes it's a shame we can't hear him better it, he's not even been close.

the snakepit albums had some great moments on, but axl gets the best out of slash, and from what i've heard of the new guns, slash and the others provide the best music for axl to work with.

also the track he did with elan called street child is amazing on his part.

Have you read about the recent exchange of words between Axl Rose and Scott Weiland? Apparently Axls been shooting his mouth off saying Slash wants to join Guns n Roses again or summat like that that. Weilands responded on www.velvetrevolver.com and he has a right rant against Axl its absolutely hilarious. I think he refers to him as a 'fat, botox faced, wig wearing fuck!' Weiland rules no question. But then again I was a Stone Temple Pilots fan mainly. Do you think Axl is a bit deluded? What was he like when you met him? Whos corner you backing lol?

I did see some of that.

I feel AXL is a better singer, GNR was a better band (legends, STP wasn't ever close to that status), and I love the 12 New GNR songs that I have. So I'm not going to say anymore then that I usually root for the bad guy and since AXL is public enemy #1 and is my favorite singer of all time, I'll have to go with AXL. That being said, I think Scott is great and I love the Velvet Revolver record. I sure hope Slash gets back with AXL, but I doubt it will happen soon.

And for the record, AXL was nothing but a nice, down to earth, great guy to talk to when I met him. Very respectful and generous, taking pictures with everyone and just seemed to be having a good time.

i think a march album release is being extremely optimistic, think about the amount of time it's going to take to inform stores worldwide that the CD is ready. then they have to press millions of copies to go off to each individual store and promote it. i can't see that being done with this album in 6 weeks.

however if it was a single. the distribution shouldn't be as big a problem, and if the single happens to be IRS, then the promo work is already being done, as it is getting decent radio play already.

Maybe someone should e-mail s ome newspapers. Get them some more publicity.

3 demo tracks from the upcoming Guns N' Roses album have been leaked through the forums of the two biggest fansites on the internet (http://www.heretodaygonetohell.com and http://www.mygnrforum.com).

The album is 10 years in the making and this is the first time since 1999 any studio material has been released with a listenable quality to it.

The leaked tracks are titled. "I.R.S.", "There Was A Time" (also known as "TWAT") and just over 2 minutes of a track called "Better"(the full version of the demo has yet to be leaked).

The links to these downloads have been removed from the forums at the request of guns n roses management, but it has started a frenzy amongst fans across multiple internet message boards.

These leaks come shortly after former guitarist Slash announced that the album (Chinese Democracy) would be released in March of this year.

Singer Axl Rose has recently confirmed that "Better", "There Was A Time", and "The Blues" will all appear on the album.

There has been no studio leak of "The Blues", however it was played live throughout the 2002 world tour. along with two other tracks titled "Chinese Democracy" and "Madagascar". Live versions of these songs are widely available.

the second solo on IRS is buckethead.

and the start of better reminds me of bucketheads solo stuff. so i'd say he had a fair amount of input on that.
