Not my video, but came across this today and thought it was awesome
That's one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen online, in a good way.
the signs in the STD clinic are hysterical!

Loved the new intro..
That's bad ass! Thanks for highlighting the clip- I would have missed it.
to me, your post is about what the concert threads should be about, not polluted with tired whining over the same subjects that add nothing to the conversation.

Nice way to not reveal her age again lol. What's the point of hiding it, what her gain by doing that? Don't get it. Are some people actually insecure about their age? That gotta be the most dumb thing
Why in the world would this post call for her to make note of her year of birth? Who would ever shoehorn that it?

hahah. I clicked on that earlier and he made me shut it off within a minute or so..
Christ, you guys keep judging drumming from cell phone recordings.
Axl, Slash, and Duff are pleased with Frank and the current sound of the band, including synths.
I don't get the energy spent complaining endlessly- "Frank sucks"- type of juvenile bitching.
If people don't like it, nobody is making you watch the videos or go to the shows. Stick with your CDs and go see Taylor Swift.

I wish they'd stop with the cutesy watermarking. It ruins some of the shots.

1993 for sure.. The band stripped back down to a 6 piece.. Axl ditched the shorts and wasn't changing every song.. The Acoustic set.. They switched up the set list.. And the band was just tight as fuck.. Maybe the tightest they had ever been out of any lineup... I have seen hundreds of big shows and the show I saw that tour is my all time favorite show that I attended by any band... ever.... I had tix to two more shows that tour that were canceled when Gilby broke his arm. One was rescheduled to then be ultimately canceled due to a Blizzard...
Well said. I'm a bit biased because that was my first concert- drove out to Iowa City. If he could have added a '91 Perfect Crime, it would have been perfect,,but I love acoustic Crazy, Axl on guitar for Bad Apple, and The Garden.
About 90 minutes in, at the end of Jungle, Axl got pissed, threw down the mic, and walked off. Just added to the edge of it all.

Scored floor seats at the 50 yard line dead center for $40 a pop which was insane, I honestly thought we got ripped off with how cheap the guy was letting em go.
Ive been on this forum for probably 10 years or so now and purposely haven't followed anything since last summer, I figured it would be 3/4 of the usual setlist and was right with that but MAN Double Talkin Jive, Yesterday's, Memory/Attitude, Used To Love Her and Coma really caught me off guard, I knew they were sort of in the rotation but wasn't expecting all of that! Black Hole Sun cover was totally unexpected and fucking awesome.
Axl sounded really strong which I was skeptical about heading into the show due to the altitude. Tons of smiles and was more engaging than I expected also.
Ive seen Slash with VR/solo a ton but holy fuck was it mind blowing to just watch him take his original GnR licks to the next level, the extended intro on DTJ was sweet and he even threw a little Slayer tease into part of the Godfather solo which I'm assuming was because they were also playing about 20 minutes down the road last night.
All in all an unbelievable show and a night I'll definitely never forget, only complaint would be the amount of casuals who barely reacted at all/sat down unless one of the "hits" was being played.. Ran past security to the front of the seats behind the pit dead center for the 5 song encore, the crowd was way better down there obviously and I tried to line myself up for the mic toss and thought I was in a good spot but Axl just gave it a small underhand toss a couple feet into the pit.
Guns N Fucking Roses though, wow.
You are representative of who they're playing for, not message board whiners. It's a hell of a show- glad it was great for you.

Loved the studio performance at the end, makes you wonder what the rest of the re-recordings sounded like.
I do wonder if people make rerecording AFD a bigger thing than it really is.
it may have "just" been an effort to capture the sound of the band in an effort to make measure their progress on sounding like GNR

Not 110% sure but I think they have 2 complete stage sets so they can leap-frog each other. It's the only logical way to achieve things...
Correct. That's what Opie the production guy said. Might even be three. I don't remember.
In a nugnr tour interview with someone, they said they do a "hub and spoke" approach in the US, where the band stays in one city fir multiple dates and heads out for shows. In the Midwest, they may stay in Chicago then travel in and out of crappier (my word) cities

Sorry if it's been discussed before.
Do you all have to crank up Prostitute for it to be the same volume as the other songs? It's been like that since day one for me.

Constructive criticism is usually healthy.
But it's unproductive and damaging when it becomes super-repetitive mud-slinging in every thread. It drags the whole forum down.
those who have issues with GNR won't suddenly be convinced to be a super fan . The superfans won't be convinced they suck.
people who buy tickets and go to the shows seem to love it. They're the top selling tour thus far in 2017.
a very small vocal minority of message board activists won't change anything. The only thing they affect are cluttering up the board.
if there was an interesting piece of critical analysis, such as in a particular football play, that could spark interesting conversation.
but repeated comments about Mickey voice, frank, not being as good as Axl/DC are just tired and unnecessary. It's essentially trolling.
i just don't see this level of juvenile bitching on other music message boards.
We are better than that. Enjoy this ride, which most of us had hoped for.

They really need to put out a DVD with this kind of quality audio.
you don't hear the detail it in a huge stadium or over a periscope
damn, the guitar breakdown in jungle was awesome. I felt like they were in front of me

The audio is improving! Love t!

Wow. The audio is shockingly atrocious. GNR sound good, you can tell. But I expected more from a fucking radio company.
I agree. Axl is up front, but the rest is all muddled. Slash comes through on solos.
sirius is satellite, essentially a lower fidelity stream. It has limitations.

You're Crazy or Chinese Democracy, probably. Though Axl opened with YCBM in 2014 so he might be willing to go with another opener.
It's a cool idea, but I expect the a fairly normal setlist.
I'd love them to play AFD through, starting the show with WTTJ

I have Sirius but never have set up an internet account... neighbors will think I'm weird if they see me sitting in my car in the driveway listening to the radio... might have to though.
Then park in their driveway, roll down the windows, turn up the volume, and share the rock!

Why are some of you rehashing the old tire arguments?
The debates over word semantics like "great" and loaded "what if" questions are just childish. I feel like I'm in junior high or high school having a fierce argument over which of two bands is better.
There are no objective answers to these questions, no route for victory.
why pollute the show thread with this nonsense before the show even begins?

I don't recall specifically if Sirius said it's being broadcast live or not. I assume it needs mixed for radio broadcast, don't you think? As opposed to being direct from the soundboard to Sirius?
or maybe it will be worked out in soundcheck. I assume they want it to sound the best for broadcast.
who is opening on these canadian dates?
