Thats the most sensible post I've read in a long time, and I agree with it.

When I say music went downhill ever since Nirvana... I meant shred music... it became less popular because all the kids realised they can reach their rock and roll dreams by playing power chords and singing badly. Well I guess the same thing happened with all the early punk.

Thats what I was getting at.

nirvana simplified things , anyways thats not really my focus , im more into the radiohead /the verve movement , where music is sung properly and is played creativly , i agree on anyone starting a band after nirvana , but only good bands r heard so the bad ones can be tuned out with a malt shot.

i like all kinds of music from dance to rock, punk, even some classical, so what do they play now that dont fit into those categories?

Very well said. I like hair metal and grunge for what they are, but they need to stay in the past, it seems a little contrived to me when people try to bring that back. *shrugs* I like a lot of stuff out now, and even if it is crap, I don't give a fuck.
