artfromtex Posted May 2, 2009 Share Posted May 2, 2009 (edited) i think in "Waiting For The Worms" the worms are everything in your life that eats at you. the overbearing mother, the bitter school-teacher, the nagging, cheating, soul-draining wife, etc. all the things in our life that figuratively tear us to shreds, the way worms literally consume us when we are dead. if you notice, all those characters make an appearance at "The Trial". so as he's in his cell awaiting his trial, he is "Waiting For The Worms".
