meaning to get the AIC album

Get it. You honestly won't regret it, because its one of the best albums this year.

Alice in Chains - Sap

Weezer - Make Believe

Beck - Guero

Beck - Sea Change

Opeth - Watershed

Chris Cornell - Carry On

Soundgarden - Pretty much anything before Badmotorfinger.

Between the Buried and Me - Alaska (On CD)

Sonic Youth - Dirty (On CD)

Smashing Pumpkins - Pisces Iscariot

In Flames - Come Clarity

I'm sure I'm leaving out quite a few.

DUDE, you have to get that EP. It's fucking AWESOME! Brother is a beautiful song. You will not be dissappointed.

Yeah, the Unplugged performance is pretty great. It's the reason why I need to get it, haha.

Yeah...if you watch the Unplugged video, once he takes off his glasses you can see how sunken in his eyes are, and how frail in general he is. I think their "last" tour ended a few months after that show, and after that Layne pretty much went into seclusion.

So, "Both sides of the gun" by Ben Harper was too expensive today, so I got "Welcome to the cruel world" instead! Let's see how this sounds! :)

I did the same thing a couple of years ago. Welcome to the Cruel World is a great album, imo. I still don't have Both Sides of the Gun - I really need to get it.

meaning to get the bob dylan christmas album, probably wait till december though...i have a personal rule where i wont listen to a xmas song until 2 weeks before the actual day

Same here. I was thinking of pre-ordering it, but didn't. I won't listen to it until December, anyway.

I've just started getting into Megadeth. I started with "Killing Is My Business..." and the I got "Endgame" when it came out. I'm going to get the essentials like "Rust In Peace" and "Countdown to Extinction." If I'm still liking what I hear then I'll keep buying them. Other than that I've got:

Ursa Major- Third Eye Blind

Tailgate Party- Larry the Cable Guy

Ain't Life Grand?- Slash's Snakepit

Thank You- Stone Temple Pilots

Black Ice- AC/DC

There are some more but they aren't coming to me at the moment.

Also been meaning to pick up The Stooges' Raw Power. Anyone think they have a better one I should get first?

I'd take Fun House over Raw Power, but that's just me. Their entire discography, save for The One We Don't Speak About, is essential.

I prefer some of Iggy's solo stuff, though.

Albums I've been meaning to get (physically, that is - I've heard the lion's share of them before):

Tons of Bowie albums -- Aladdin Sane, Diamond Dogs, Young Americans, Station to Station, Low, "Heroes", Lodger and Scary Monsters.

Sonic Youth - EVOL, Sister

Beat Happening's discography

Holiday - Café Reggio

Margo Guryan's Korean Take a Picture box set

Heavenly - The Decline and Fall of Heavenly

Massive Attack - Protection, No Protection, Mezzanine

Morrissey's brand new The HMV/Parlophone Singles '88-'95 set

Moscow Olympics - Cut the World (fucking impossible)

My Bloody Valentine's two Isn't Anything-era EPs, Ecstasy & Wine

My Favorite - The Happiest Days of Our Lives

Orange Juice - The Glasgow School

Television Personalities - ...And Don't the Kids Just Love It

Pizzicato Five - Pizzicatomania, On Her Majesty's Request, This Year's Girl, Bossanova 2001, Overdose, Romantique 96, Playboy & Playgirl, The Fifth Release from Matador, The Sound of Music by Pizzicato Five

Esquivel - Other Worlds - Other Sounds (both volumes)

Basically anything from this site

The Raincoats - The Raincoats, Moving

The Rosehips' compilation CD

Ringo Deathstarr - Sparkler

March Records' Moshi Moshi: Pop International Style

  • 2 weeks later...

I made up my own list. These are all considered classics (except the Ryan Adams one, but it's still pretty darn good). I've heard these all before, but I'd like to say I own 'em. I'm just a 15 year old who's going on a weekly salary of six bucks a week, so bear with me.

Elton John - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road

The Stooges - Raw Power

Rory Gallagher - Irish Tour '74

Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin IV

The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

The Beatles - Abbey Road

The Rolling Stones - Sticky Fingers

Ryan Adams & The Cardinals - Cold Roses

Bruce Springsteen - Born To Run

Thin Lizzy - Jailbreak

Neil Young & Crazy Horse - Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere

Rod Stewart - Every Picture Tells A Story

Heart - Dreamboat Annie

Emerson, Lake & Palmer - Emerson, Lake & Palmer
