This is a funny thread. Yes he would be a great judge of talent, and you almost need someone that interesting to curve the inevitable great rating ''X Factor'' will get over whatever reincarnation "Idol" may have. Face facts, once Simon goes so does the show, so yeah Axl doing it might actually keep the show in existence. That aside this is going to be Idol's last year.

Of course it's ridiculous, but fun to talk about. It would be the first time the security guards were placed to protect the contestants from a judge during auditions, while surely sporting iron reinforced long johns for random biting that may occur, just in case.

Meanwhile its probability is 0 as his last TV appearance was what, headbangers ball in 88 or something?

Axl is the complete opposite of whats required. Simon Cowell is a man who lives by the media in all its forms and will promote everywhere and anywhere if it adds a dime to his bank balance. He can handle personal criticism and stay objective whilst turning up on time.

Axl has personality without a doubt, but completely the wrong type to ensure viewing figures in a pop music industry or mentor people outside his circle of family and close friends.

Axl is insane! He would boost the ratings with his crazy antics and his paranoia. He is exactly the character this show needs. I refuse to watch the show now since it's lame, but I definitely see the show gaining even more momentum if you have someone so controversial as Rose on the show. He would make Cowell look like a pussy.
