ronartest2004 Posted April 11, 2011 Share Posted April 11, 2011 I still think he is a great performer. But to compare anyone in their late 40s to their early to mid 20s isn't a fair comparison. But having said that, I still wish we all could've heard more from him in the "lost years". I thought he sounded awesome with Springsteen in '94. Estranged is one of the best rock songs of all time. I always think Axl sounds awesome on "bluesy" type songs, in the past and now. I still wish I could hear a studio version of "you're crazy" that they did on the fox late night show. That was just so damn raw.But there is still a part of me that hopes Axl has held out the best for last.
