ronartest2004 Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 I still think he is a great performer. But to compare anyone in their late 40s to their early to mid 20s isn't a fair comparison. But having said that, I still wish we all could've heard more from him in the "lost years". I thought he sounded awesome with Springsteen in '94. Estranged is one of the best rock songs of all time. I always think Axl sounds awesome on "bluesy" type songs, in the past and now. I still wish I could hear a studio version of "you're crazy" that they did on the fox late night show. That was just so damn raw.But there is still a part of me that hopes Axl has held out the best for last. And has used the negativity from the cd release to come back full throttle and properly kick some music industry ass.
Turn_It_Up Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 (edited) Dude has been on top of the world, a place very few of us ever go. And he came from nothing, so yeah, total props. He's done it all and in the words of Sinatra, he did it HIS WAY. Like it all or not... Edited April 11, 2011 by Turn_It_Up
