Bumble's Bridge Pickup
Jane Doe is generally held as their masterpiece. If you want a more accessible record to start with, I'd say Axe To Fall. When I say "accessible" I don't exactly mean pop rock, because Axe To Fall is still heavy as hell, but more "accessible" on the Converge scale. So I'd say Axe To Fall, then Jane Doe, but either way works. After those, I'd go with all the rest of their 2000's work. sweetness
I saw Converge in Detroit a few weeks ago for the 3rd time, they always put on such a good show, one of my favorite bands of all time. Jane Doe, You Fail Me, No Heros, Axe To Fall, and All We Love We Leave Behind are all amazing in their own way, the earlier stuff is great too but when they got Ben Koller on drums and wrote Jane Doe they really came into their own. The first time I heard Converge I wasn't sure if it was my thing, mainly because of Jacob's vocals, but the shear intensity kept me coming back and eventually he turned into being one of my favoirite vocalists, guy is an amazing artist too and overall probably the most inspiring individual I've ever met.other really good hardcore punk bands worth checking out:DangersKerouacBastionsTrap ThemGlasses.Das OathBlacklistedPunchGallowsThroatsDefeaterThe Long HaulTrash TalkThe ArmedTouche AmorePulling TeethLewd ActsNarrowscomadre Edited October 31, 2012 by sweetness
