Guest Posted December 14, 2002 Posted December 14, 2002 Guess i'm in the minority, oh well, just got done listening to The Garden, like it much better!
Guest Posted December 14, 2002 Posted December 14, 2002 "Now you're clean and so discreet...I won't say a word! But most of all, this song is true, 'case you haven't heard..." ;DMy f ucking Michelle
eschman Posted December 14, 2002 Posted December 14, 2002 I'm comin atcha baby!!!By the way, has anyone heard some punk band cover My Michelle? It was actually pretty good, but I don't know who it was that did it.
gnrlies Posted December 14, 2002 Posted December 14, 2002 yeah, my michelle for sure..I love the intro!
Manstis1604 Posted December 14, 2002 Posted December 14, 2002 That's a pretty tough one, they're both favorites of mine and they're both pretty underrated. I'd probably go with The Garden though, it's just so menacing, and Alice Cooper's guest vocals are sweet as hell.
gnrlies Posted December 14, 2002 Posted December 14, 2002 well depends on what mood your in i guess...
gnrlies Posted December 14, 2002 Posted December 14, 2002 coma kicks...i love the last like 3 mins of vocals....MAAD!
Ken Posted December 15, 2002 Posted December 15, 2002 how about my michele and yesterdaysI prefer "yesterdays"
Duffan Posted December 15, 2002 Posted December 15, 2002 I prefer My Michelle cause it's a rawer song and I lov the riffs , The garden is fun too because it's a very strange and errie song ( help from the video ) . Peace GnR Nation 8)
gnrlies Posted December 15, 2002 Posted December 15, 2002 i think that when my michelle is used for the intro on the use your illusion in tokyo tapes.. (i forget which one) but thats what really pulled me into that song and said (this intro is maad! - of course at that time i was only about 6 so yeah, i dont know how much of it was just the initial attractiopn to the interesting sounds made, but i still loved it)
COKE8 Posted December 15, 2002 Posted December 15, 2002 i think that when my michelle is used for the intro on the use your illusion in tokyo tapes.. (i forget which one) but thats what really pulled me into that song and said (this intro is maad! - of course at that time i was only about 6 so yeah, i dont know how much of it was just the initial attractiopn to the interesting sounds made, but i still loved it)dude i dunno how many people have mentioned that statement right there in reference to the toyko tapes illusion one it fits perfectly. this song also has a lot of history to it so many legends and rock folklore about old school gnr have abounded from this song.NEW GNR 4 LIFE!!2-SWEET!!
nightrain44 Posted December 15, 2002 Posted December 15, 2002 My Michelle...definately.."So c'mon and stop your cryin''Cause we both know money burns"
GNR21 Posted December 15, 2002 Posted December 15, 2002 This is an interesting debate. I think both songs have their strongpoints. The Garden is a very underrated track. It's really a good listen. My Michelle is of course from the Appetite album. They are played differently. I think someone said it best. It depends on what you're in the mood for.One of my personal faves is "Don't Cry." Has anyone ever heard the two different versions?I'm sure most have. Both are excellent .
Stupid_Moron Posted December 15, 2002 Posted December 15, 2002 My Michelle I like the garden but come on.. this question is unnecessary ;D
