Because they ARE Black Metal.

Expert, are we?

It even said it on there official website.

Ah, because everything written on websites is the entire truth. Tit.

COF have been trying to be Black Metal for 12 years. They haven't succeeded.

There a melodic Black Metal band. Only because they use the dramatic dark-orchestral arrangements and different sound effects in there songs.

They're not Black Metal. They're wannabe Black Metal. They're not heavy enough to be considered Black Metal, and even if they were, they couldn't be classed so because there's not one genuine Satanist amongst them.

Now, Dimmu Borgir on the other hand, while playing similar music to CoF, actually has BM credentials.

Really? You should give their earlier stuff, like Stormblast, a go. It's quite raw, but also has symphonic tinges. Much better than anything that's fallen out of CoF's creative spaz crack.

I have only heard the old albums....only those where they sing in norwegian

Yes I agree with the fact that Dimmu Borgir is really good. And Stormblast and Death Cult Armageddon are incredible albums. But COF are NOT in any way wannabes of BM. Its too good to be wannabes.

Stormblast and Death Cult Armageddon are incredible albums.

As are Puritannical Euphoric Misanthropia, Enthrone Darkness Triumphant, For All Tid and Spiritual Black Dimensions

But COF are NOT in any way wannabes of BM.

They're not true satanists. Their image is pure pantomine. Dani Filth has admitted to being attracted to Black Metal purely for the image.

Plus, such is the Black Metal code, no Black Metal band would make videos that get regular rotation on Kerrang.
