They are playing at the Gorge ampitheatre on september 1st (I live in Seattle) but it sold out in like 30 minutes. It's tough to get in to see them when you live in the same city that they are from. I heard an interview from Mike McCready on a local radio station recently and he said that their new album is amazing and that the fans will be pleasently surprised... There are also a *ton* of boots to look into, official ones and otherwise. PJ are wonderful in the studio, but you have to hear (and see) them LIVE. That's when they're in their element. They are tied with Metallica as my second favorite band. (GN'R is first) I have all of their official CD's and a few of their bootlegs.
